Been sitting here searching the internet from one end to the other and can't seem to find the program CDGfix, can anyone point me in the right direction?
I have some Super CD-G discs that I want to use with another player besides the crappy player that comes with them, am I correct that CDGfix will help me with that?
Thankx in advance.....

I think Dart karaoke studio will do it, plus you will also be able to create your own

First off, nice way to introduce yourself with that intelligent title for the thread!
Second off, you said you are " searching the internet from one end to the other ", did you actually do a Google search for 'cdgfix'? The VERY first site that came up when I typed it in the search engine was
http://www.cdgfix.com/
Surprise surprise!!!!

Actually I did try Google, Yahoo, and about everything else I could think of....I was searching for 'cdgfix 3.4d' and for 'cdgfix 3.3' and nothing helpful was coming up. Now I try just 'cdgfix' and I see the cdgfix.com coming up first on Google and Yahoo both.......
Wow, I thought maybe I had found a really cool Karaoke forum, is this one of those places where everyone sits around waiting for a newbie to need some help, and then act like jerks???
It was an honest mistake, I was searching for the wrong thing.....

Ye reap what ye sow!
Maybe you should have read the forum guidlines before sprouting off with profanity and an attitude!
This forum puts up with a LOT, but there's a LOT we DON'T have to put up with.
By the way, WELCOME to the site. Now siddown and SHADDUP! ! (in case you don't get it, that's a light-hearted JOKE poked at you for stirring up the hornet's nest and then crying OW when ya got stung!)

Actually we welcome newbies, but usually the newbies have a certain amount of humility and decorum and learn about the community they have stumbled into before they start shooting their mouth off

My bad, I didn't realize that '@$%^&$' was profanity.....
I know it's awful hard to pronounce......I get my tongue twisted every time I try to say it.

YEP! CDGFix will Easily change the SCDG Disc format (MCG) to play in a variety of other players. Such As:
* CAVS JB199 - - - - - - NCG
* NEO+G & RSQ - - - - -M3G
* Regular CDG Player - CD+G
And Change Them All Back To Play In A SCDG Player! (MCG)
LET'S SEE ROXBOX OR DART DO THAT
Kind Regards,
sw00000p

Guys,
The OP actually typed out '@$%^&$' and is NOT the result of the forum script filter for offensive language.
Thus:
Quote: My bad, I didn't realize that '@$%^&$' was profanity.....
I know it's awful hard to pronounce......I get my tongue twisted every time I try to say it.
ps:I can see his post in edit mode to conform this.

Thanks sw00000p....will it then also allow me to play them on Software Players such as Just Karaoke or Winamp? That's how I really need to use the files.....
Chuckling a bit reading the above post, I didn't realize by typing in '@$%^&$' that people would think I had used something that the forum filter would have to change! Heck, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a filter to correct offensive words. Tell me that's not just a little bit funny.
I'm not crazy, I don't post profanity ANYWHERE, much less as my first post on a new forum that I just found. It was just a 'tongue in cheek' way to express frustration at not being able to find what I was looking for. It actually never even struck me that it would upset anybody. Sorry guys......

One time in my 6 months here, I did'nt take my meds one one day, and typed in some profanity. The site converted it to something that looked like what you posted. So.......welcome to the site.....

I honestly didn't THINK that the OP did curse in the Subject title. I took it for the nature intended. I just took it to the Nth Degree and went along with the flavor of the posting. I just thought I'd have some fun with the frustrated new member!
Likewise, we have a member on here that has his non-meds moments and I ignore them when they go Totally Turretts!

ALSO?
Before purchasing anything... Please ask yourself, "What CDG format does the Just Karaoke and Winamp players require?"
NOTE:
* A Regular or Standard Karaoke Player Generally plays CD+G.
A large collection of players fall under this.
As stated in my previous post:
* CAVS JB199 - - - - - - NCG
* NEO+G & RSQ - - - - -M3G
* Regular CDG Player - CD+G
If the 'Just Karaoke' and 'Winamp' players support CD+G...
Woomp! There it is!
KNOW YOUR PLAYER!
Kind Regards,
sw00000p

Winamp and JustKaraoke uses CD-G files and MP3's......each song needs a CD-G file with the words in the same folder as the matching MP3. I'm hoping that the CDGfix program can get me in this direction with my Chartbuster Super-CDG discs?

Do you understand what CD+G is? Not CD-G!
OK, Winamp and JustKaraoke supports CD+G files.
CDGFix exports CDG Discs to CD+G... (a .CDG file matched with a .MP3 file)
WARNING
JRS7, please understand why I'm being Soo Critical! CDGFix Is Advanced and Very INTENSE!
The On-Line Help files are not complete yet. Without the Correct Basic Knowledge of CDG terminology...
I can see you posting, "How the @$%^&$ do I do this in CDGFix!"

Ok, I feel like because I am a TOTAL NEWBIE to Karaoke that this whole episode has turned into a bad Laurel and Hardy routine. I'm really not a complete idiot, I've been in the DJ business for about 20 years, but I've NEVER dabbled in Karaoke until now.
So I'm going to start completely from scratch and ask my question the way I should have when I first arrived.....Here goes:
I just bought some Chartbuster Essential Super CD+G discs, and I want to be able to use them with another software player other than the one that came on the discs. I plan to use Winamp or JustKaraoke. What do I need to extract the song files from the Chartbuster Super CD+G discs and get them onto my hard drive in MP3 form, so that I can use them with Winamp or JustKaraoke?
I have read on the forums about a program called CDGfix, will it do what I need for this project?
Just trying to get my facts together before I spend $70 on a program......
Hey now sw00000p, isn't @$%^&$ considered profanity??
