...i didn't know any of this was going on....the problem with hidden rating is this...i'll use my songs as an exsample.....i have seen myself getting 9's.... to me a 9's a great score....butttttt, something was wrong with it to get a 9.... my average on a song might be 9.3 r something....i would read the comments trying to see who might have giving me the 9's... no clue as to who did it....
Heck i love a 9, but please tell me what i did wrong....i really don't mind....trash my song i don't care....i like ratings, they have there place i think....but without the proper comments to back it up they mean nothing except u didn't like it...ok u thought something was wrong with it...what i don't know but something....i don't like hidden rating for that reason... and the reason they don't tell u what they think u/i did wrong is then u just have to read to tell who gave u the lower rating....if there honest then no need to hide there rating we will know who it is anyway....does that make sense?...
....what i would love to see is this....each person post on there song what THEY think a good rating would be for that song....is it an 8 to them?...i'm betrting no one would give themselves a 10.....so why complain if u get lower then a 10 ?
if i posted a song saying i think its an 8, (and be truthful with urself) and i get a 9...thats great, if i get a 7 heck thats only 1 point below what i thought it was anyway....still not bad....to listen to my own songs and say...nope no mistakes in this song...
...is crazy...i hear plenty in my songs....so i can't be unhappy with less then a 10.....
i did notice on another site one guy asked for honest comments and rating and started getting 8's, he couldn't understand that...he was a very good singer to....so he was upset looking at all those 10s other people were getting and here he was a better singer gettng 8's....he pmed me asking why...i told him because he wanted HONEST COMMENTS AND RATINGS....the others getting straight 10s were not real 10s just token 10s....there 10s if honest would have been more like 7's....some of that is going on here.....i hand out plenty of 10s myself....to those i know want honest ratings i give them honest ratings....it just seems that when i try to be honest they still get a 10...

now as for as how much does emotion play in ratings? i really don't know, its different for every person i'm sure....

...BBQ does not have the best voice on this site as i'm sure she knows.... a good one but not the best...(god i hope she doesn't get mad at me) but when it comes to emotion and just having a blast singing shes a 10 in my book....i just love hearing her sing....i tell her it makes my day and it does to....if someone can sing and make me cry, weither it be a sad song r a happy song (tears of joy) they get a 10 from me....
i don't have guidelines on how i rate....depends on the singer, if i were a judge going by guidelines that would be different, but i'm not nor do i want to be a judge....i don't think judges will work...like kathy...been there done that....
now if someone comes to me and says....( i want u to be honest in ur comments and ratings...i will be very honest but fair....thats all i can do....but the bottom line is its JMO...for what its worth...like anyone elses on here, no better no worst....sooooooooo
i don't mind the hidden ratings as long as there honest in there comments, but by doing that i will no who u r...biggggggg deal, i don't care, rate me fairly with fair comments..... did i make myself clear???? I BET NOT...
