GREAT post, Marble. You can put me down for "Natural Entertainer" with just a touch of "Picnic" because when I DO sing, I tend to throw a lot of emotion into it, if it's that type of song. It makes me feel good.

Marble - Good posts --I would say they are "SUB GROUPS" within each type

ie: "THE HELPER" this "TOOL" never puts in a slip --always either rushing the singer to YELP in the microphone also or maybe they just SCREAM the lyrics from their seats or safely behind the singer ...They just want to SING ..with someone
usually DRUNK ..but not always

I find it hard to classify ANY karaoke group... there's just too many variables. Some singers will favor one or the other, or even change as the level of intoxication happens! LOL

For my own needs, I try to sculpt the audience to the way I host a show. If they like it, the gig works out. If not, it doesn't! I'm very open about that with the past venue owners and managers I've worked with. They want more of a DJ type show, they don't want me. I'm flexible, but won't change the way I host.

Now when I go out as a singer, I TRY to find shows like the way I run mine. Hard to do as someone ALWAYS has differences. You just have to figure out if they're worth biyatchin' about!
