I rarely get requests for current popular songs. However popular songs from 2-3 years ago sometimes get sung.

Probably would be more important for me to have 6 months from now than right now.

To be honest, I never get excited about anything that comes out on country music these days. It is not the cdg manufactures fault, I blame Nashville who has forgotten what country music really is. The stuff they are producing in Nashville these days, for the most part, is not really recognizable as country. That is just a view point of a born and raised cowboy from Texas, and not really worth anything to anyone but me. --Mike

Country music has change alot instead of the ... nasal twang...no offense..sound..country music is now more apart of the pop style..which is a good thing ...you can only stand finger nails against a CHALKBOARD FOR SO LONG before it drives you crazy...LOL

I do a lot of Strait, Haggard, Whitley, Yoakam, Willy, Jackson, B&D, Paisley, Twitty, Garth .
My favorite is Ledoux, but I have trouble finding most of his songs such as Cadillac Cowboy. Keith Whitley has some great songs like Turn THis Thing Around and I haven't found anyone with that on karaoke.
Does anyone have any Ian Tyson?

Tyson is not listed on KJPro and I know the Canadian manus never produced any of his music.

Cadillac cowboy isn't avial. Neither is "This Cowboys Hat". We have everything else but have searched high and low for those two. Quik Hitz just released some new country including "it happens" and "play the song". Our female country singers r fired up about those!

My crowd is very diverse. They definately sing the newer songs. I get the new releases every month. These new songs get sung all the time. My new additions section gets used all of the time. I just reprinted, so it is only one page right now. I don't sing a song on my new disc, just so the crowd could know I have new music. I do sing off of the new disc, because I sing alot of new music. Almost every song I sing is played on a local radio station Star98.7
