No reason to spend extra money on something not needed. Each time I bought my used laptops, I made certain they met and surpassed the requirements listed to run compuhost. Again, compuhost is all I run on mine other than itunes and a spreadsheet I use to take notes during a show. Here are the requirments at the karaokeware site:
