WOW! RIP my friend. Now that debate and beer will be no more. You were like a brother, Loved ya but drove me crazy at times. Half mast my friend, half mast.

from a fellow redheaded hissy fit thrower...Matt we crossed swords on the very odd occasion but I always respected your passion and unwavering belief in your opinions.

I just read the tragic news....my gosh. I am still shaking my head. Matt was the very first person who greeted me here. He made me feel so welcome and was so helpful to me, as well as everyone he could help. My heart feels very heavy right now.

Rest in Peace, Matt. We will miss you very much.

Wow! I'm so very sad to hear this. Matt will be greatly missed here.

I just got back (10 minutes ago) from a wake for a fellow KJ-37 years old, died instantly from a brain aneurysm (she was our Friday night host), then to find this out.

All I can say is Heaven just recieved 2 great KJs.

RIP Matt, my cyber friend.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Matt's family.

Just heard the sad and shocking news across in England of Matt's sudden death..

Matt had previously been active on our SingToTheWorld forum, although his recent personal issues had diminished his activity in recent years.

Matt was a real larger-than-life character on the karaoke scene who I deem it an honour to have had deallings with.

When I was visiting Florida on holiday some years ago, he gave me some contacts for local karaokes.

RIP Big Guy - hope you are up there singing in the heavenly karaoke mate!

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

How sad... I had known Matt since 2001, when I met him on the Sound Choice bulletin boards. I'm not very active on the message boards these days, but I just recently joined Facebook and Matt added me as a friend. I had looked forward to catching up with him.

My condolences go out to Matt's entire family. Rest In Peace, good buddy.

Mr October called me on my cell this afternoon to let me know Matt had passed. I was both shocked and saddened. I met Matt when he KJ'd at the Canton Grill years ago and then stopped into a couple of his shows at the Queen of Hearts just before he left for KC.

He was a stand up guy and loved by many. My heart goes out to Ruthie in your time of loss.

RIP Matt!

This is a shock. I didn't know him but he was such a force on this forum for standing up for karaoke. I will miss him.

I am also shocked and saddened by the news of my buddy "MATT".
I remember when he first joined the "JOLT" forum many many songs ago.
He was very personable as well outspoken, but in the good way.
He was a passionate man who cared about family and his profession as a KJ.
I salute you MATT for being that special person.
Although I don't post much anymore, especially in here, many of us have very strong ties to the man.
I dedicate this song for you buddy:
"SEASONS IN THE SUN" .
You are missed !!
Rodney

This is really sad and a great loss indeed to all of us who have had contact with him.
Matt was a very pleasant and accommodating personality. May the Lord comfort his family.
