Where I come from, that KJ would most likely end up in hospital.

Wow, if I'd gone to another KJ's show on my night off, and this had happened, I'd have gone directly to the owner and bid on the show for $100 less than whatever the jackass was charging.
Just to see if I could cut him out of a night.

Now it could be that he believed your singing a song that included profanity was a personal attack on him.

Now I know you did not intend that to be the case, it may be that he believed it to be so.

Most of the time when people are being rude intentionaly they believe they are in the right because of some "wrong" done to them. Now that wrong may only be in their head but it changes little from thier point of view.

Mix in a bit of booze, and a late busy night and the opportunities for mis-understanding grow.

Regardless as a pro he should not have responded negatively. Part doing of any job well that includes interaction with people is to repress such feelings, unless your job is a professional boxer.

I run into singers putting down other singers periodically. Depending who it is I'll react differently, but I always try to get my point across it isn't right to do so. I've told people it isn't becoming to act in such a way that it makes them look bad to act in such a manner. I've also put my fingers in my ears and said nanana nanana, I'm not listening and walked away. LMAO Joking around, but got my point across I wasn't going to listen to it.

My point being us as karaoke hosts must stay neutral and not judge singers.

Absolutely correct Babs...I do a lot of supporting of marginal singers and hopefully inspire those who are perched on their high branches to do the same. It's ABOUT THE FUN isn't it?

Hmmmm....I use to see this happen alot where I went singing with a particular kj.
She would make faces sometimes, then later on, I noticed her making faces at me too.
I use to be a big tipper....I guess it wasn't appreciated.
She probably would've paid me to stop following her around.
