GEE!!!! This has been up a whole week and I didn't see it.
Hmmmmm.... Maryland. How far is Sparrows Point from Glen Burnie? I know some ex-JOLTers that live there... They were the people who started our very first (and very successful) JOLT Summit back in 2000 (our last Summit was in 2006 in Richmond, VA, and our last JOLT Mini-Summit was in 2007 in Chicago (just before JOLT died)).
I'm from NY, but I work in PA (Bucks County), so MD would be about a 4 or 5 hr drive for me from my PA Crash Pad. Depending on the actual dates, I would have to see if I can take off from work... I'll be working Thursdays thru Sundays in March.
Hey Timbelea... what about "The Lost Canadian"???? I'll make sure to bring a 6-pack of Bud for ya!
Murrlyn.... Look me up when you're in NY. I live in Queens.
Jam... r u sure you want "crazy people" to attend??? (tongue very far in cheek).

I would hope none of us are taking any little tiffs seriously enough to avoid attending.
I have met many people in person that I have first met online, because of work and because of my hobbies, and have been doing so frequently since the mid-90s. They are almost always nicer in person.

Pop's Tavern is at least a five minute drive for me. Small world. You probably know my brother Jeff. I think he still frequents there.

Cue (steve) i was bummed i missed the richmond JOLTER in 2006 but i had already moved to hawaii a couple of years earlier. There were some "characters" on JOLT who were class-acts and i've wondered why not a lot of those helpful and intelligent ones never moved over to this forum.. or didn't stay long. (of course other than Lonman and Matt- may he rest in peace).
I've got family in brooklyn and queens, so if this "Scene-Summit" actually happens in March of near that time, i'll be visiting NY right after to hang with my cousins.

Get out of town! It is a small world. Is your brother a kinda short guy with dark hair and mustache.... sings "Creep" all the time?

I'm THERE Cue! And you can laugh at my silly renditions of Phantom Of The Opera tunes complete with half-mask! I still can't believe Gerard Butler who played Phantom in the movie version (which i liked) has become such a tough guy action hero and has doubled in size. He's even doing romantic comedies! Strange....but he's good.
Word is they are releasing another Phantom Of The Opera movie/play set in Coney Island, years after the opera house burned down, and the Phantom continues his streak of madness!
OOPS! OFF TOPIC...sorry! no phantom-jacking intended..

He's a bald guy with glasses, wears a ball cap, always says "Get er done" and sings country. He got married a couple months ago and had the reception at Pop's.

OMG! I know him! He comes by my Seahorse gig (which is just down the street from Pop's on Wise Ave) and sings with me on Friday night pretty regularly. He's a hoot, that's for sure.... he and another guy named Josh sing "Shiftwork" and at the end he says, "git 'er done!"
