The question is: Do Mention Your Song Catalog In Your Promotions?

Answer:
Nope. What's the point?

It's like an electrician boasting that he has a LOT of electrical tape... which is fine I guess if you have no talent as an electrician.

Club owners don't care if you have 1 song or 10 gazillion.... if you're marketing toward the "singers" then maybe they care how many you have, but those are not the kind of "customers" that we want anyway because they're too high maintenance.

If you're marketing toward the private party audience, then you market about what a great time they will have if they hire you, not about your equipment or number of songs.

Just my take on it.

Hello,

I use a USP in my promotion.

What is a USP you ask? It stands for Unique Selling Proposition.
It is in essenced this:
What is the ONE THING that makes your potential customers want to hire you as opposed to any of the competetors or doing nothing at all.
THAT is what you need to answer.
BTW, being 'the best' is not the answer.
Some Famouse USP's:
1) When it absolutely positively has to get there overnight
2) hot fresh pizza delivered to your door in 30 minutes or less guaratneed
3) melts in your mouth, not in your hand.

Jason
