Currently looking at the SKB 106Dj station, or the SKB dj shuttle. Either one I would add the filler panels to the top, and just set my mixer on top. Dj station is 144.00, shuttle is 119.00. Which do you think is the better deal for my use? Mounting the Behringer 4400 compressor, and a Cavs 203G player. Was also thinking of adding the power conditioner strip. Are they really worth having, or should I just stick with my battery back-up power supply that I already have? All input is appreciated, as you can see that as far as "racks" go, I'm clueless. Well maybe not "clueless", but could use some coaching. :)

I'd think either of those would fit the bill for your current needs. I like to have the option for expansion so I'd opt for the larger of the two, but that's just me. If the Roto rack would have been available in a 10U/6U configuration as well I would have opted for the additional spaces. 4 of my RU's are taken up by Dual CDG player though.

The main reason I didn't go with one of the racks you suggested was mainly due to wanting more protection for anything mounted in the rack and having the lid with the flat surface for stacking. I just wasn't comfortable with the soft covers being adequate for transport. My vehicle isn't very large so I need the ability to stack as much as possible.

Very nice setup, enzoab!

Thx much. A lotta work, most of the stuff I made; the lappy stand, the mixer mounts and side and top pieces. The Numark board (not shown) has custom mounts as well. I have a very bad shoulder so I have to keep it light. This weighs about 50 pounds. You can't really see it but I can out put video to multi screen; SVIDEO, Composit and cable all at the same time; I run at least two monitors plus a projector if I can. I need the personal monitor because I use my 12x4x100 snake as much as I can and I can't see the singers monitor most times. I also mounted a peep camera on my monitor for fun... "You sure you wanna do that song!" and "All ready?". When you're many feet away it seems to help... I love building stuff.
