I no longer use KARMA .....never have a problem with it cause they have NO customer support. it wouldn't load on my computer anymore after the 2011 update was installed so the solution was WIPE OUT MY DRIVE BACK TO factory specs like his is the only program on my computer. STAY CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Karma Sucks!

I totally disagree, I find there isn't anything better out there. As far as support Bob has emailed me back within the day any time I have had an issue.

It does use Net Framework and C++ so when you install a new version you need to delete and reinstall these Microsoft componets.

I have never used Compuhost - but I can definitely vouch for Karma.

Easy to use software
EQ
Quick configurable sound effects
Change lyrics timing on the fly
Great scroller
Rotation Management

I really like this software.

I just wish the tracks didn't disappear off the playlist after they were played. Does anyone know if there is a way to make them stay?

Thanks all

Vic in Sydney

I am using MTU Hoster on a new Toshiba laptop with win 7 64 bit home premium. It runs very stable and so far no issues. I picked it over Compuhost because it is a complete package. If you are worried about the KMA file format rip them as mp3g then you can import them into the Hoster database. It will play your customers cdg's with no problems.

Has MTU fixed the mass import problem?

They have always, to my knowledge, forced you to import disk-by-disk. Every other software that I know of allows you to point to a directory tree of MP3+G files (zipped or not) and build your database.

I can't imagine trying MTU again, simply because I would hate to import the 600+ disks I have bought since I stopped using them.

I cannot comment on any of the MTU older versions but the newest version that I am using does not seem to have that problem. I ripped my discs in a mp3+g format and have been importing them in batches of 50-60 at a time. I am almost 2/3 of the way through my 623 disc. And I don't want to have to do all that ripping again. Ripping them in a mp3+g format gives me a bit more flexibility IMHO.

Yes you can mass import mp3g files up to 9999 under one book id.
