I have found that Backstage has some of the best Eagles karaoke music - especially Desperado. I use Backstage for pretty much nothing except for The Eagles.

I beg to differ (with all due respect). There's no comparison. Not even Zoom. SC - the best version - bar none imho. I canned my Backstage Eagles after I got my 8125. I would be embarrassed to give it to a fellow kj, or to anybody for that matter.

I agree, although I kept mine for the 2 or 3 songs not on the 8125 or Zoom discs I have. It was a great disc when no other Eagles discs were available, but wouldn't be my choosing these days.

BIG,,,, FRICKEN,,, DITTO! I have the backstage Eagles, hotel california, lying eyes and especially desperado are pretty good in my opinion. I sang the sc version at a pirate show a couple years ago (assuming it must be the 8125) and I think the BS is better.

Having said that however, I am a collector, especially Cal Ripken (hence my handle) stuff but I have football, I have the California Raisins, glass eggs, and I wouldn't mind having my own 8125.

I have to disagree with that as do many of my singers as well that have sang off of both. SC is requested hands down over the the BS version - and I still say it is "BS" for a reason.

If you cut your teeth on the Backstage Eagle's disc; you'll probably defend it to the death....especially if you don't have a really good ear for music to begin with. Some folks just love their VOCO PRO stuff too. I bought a bunch of Backstage discs back in the day because they were cheap. When searching for an Eagle's song to sing, I always look for the SC8125 version at any karaoke show that I go to.

Now that the Sound Choice customs are back, i'd go ahead and get a couple custom discs just to have on hand & sell the original 8125 discs on E-Bay for what you can get for them before word gets out that every song on that disc can be purchased for $70 through Sound Choice customs! No longer will it be an issue.
