I've always felt that MM was a 50-50 hit or miss on their quality.

This should be interesting, what with the Music Maestro tracks that have been resurrected on Karaoke-Version, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

As for MM, I haven't had the best (albeit very limited) experience with them. Most of their tracks are piss poor but a couple are absolutely fantastic to the extend that I'd choose over SBI/Sunfly, Sound Choice and Chart Buster. To the KJs across these fora, do you have many MM tracks in your inventory? Are they mostly rubbish quality or have I just inadvertantly picked the worst ones.

MM made "The Piano Has Been Drinking" by Tom Waits, which is a huge hit at my shows. Can anyone else think of songs that are exclusive to MM? I'd love to stock up!

I have some good Music Maestro discs, but MM #6170 is the worst sounding disc I've ever used lol. Totally hit and miss.

At least it's a large selection and pumps up the songs available on Tricerasoft :D

Tricerasoft had Music Maestro before and I bought one of them and the graphics was unusable at best. Hope they reripped them to get clean graphics.

I am curious and maybe Tricersoft can answer this one for me. MM has been defunct ever since the 2005 lawsuit against the owners was returned as a default judgement for 7.2 million dollars. Their music was never licensed to begin with and they have been out of business for 6 years.

So my question is......... How does Tricersoft go about getting the permissions for use the songs for which the origionals were and the only copies in existence are pirated, and what are the legal and finacial hurdles that had to be taken care of just to legally offer this content?

Lawsuits from performers and publishers happen all the time and they are none of our business. They do not concern you or us and they settle amoung themselves.

We get permission from the manufacturer and we pay them for selling their creations. We also pay the license respective of the song for download. If you like them, then buy them - let us take care of the licensing. We only provide licensed content and hold by our reputation.

OK that clears up the fact that you actually pay for the licensing for each song. But how do you purchase a product from a company that doesn't exist?

in an earlier post he stated that they tracked down the previous owners and bought from them.
