Total Eclipse of the Heart was performed this past Saturday. Son of a Preacher Man, maybe a month or so ago. Mack the Knife has not popped up yet in a year and a half.
The folks that sang Eclipse this past weekend was a group of 20-something French college students on holiday in the states. (I suggested they visit some MUCH nicer bars than mine while they were here - but that is another story). English was most assuredly a second language for them, but they knew the words for the song by heart. They were out in the audience singing and one of the guys that sang the "bright eyes" part was dead on. It was great.

I have a "Go Away" price of triple my rate for New Years Eve because I'd rather not work it. Still, occasionally someone bites as they did last year. Looks like this year I'm off the hook which is just fine with me.
