If the show had good sound, and the discs weren't as good, I might still stay. Having good sound at the mic counts for a lot. Having good discs can add a lot too. But if you has good discs but bad sound, one might be tempted to find another place also.

From what I've read from your posts......you're looking for a life. Ease up a bit, lady, or you'll end up like Chip.... We all need to judge a little less....including me.... Like Chip? I went Christmas shopping and bought that wonderful Board Game, LIFE and then I stopped at the music store and bought some more karaoke discs to take to my favorite Karaoke shows.

Are there stores that still sell karaoke discs?

There are a number that do here in the Pacific Northwest. I get the impression they sell more equipment than karaoke music though.

I answered yes because there are a lot of obscure songs I like that only SC make on karaoke.

(Even if rather directly implied. ) But we got a complaint from someone that I believe knows you rather well, so we scrubbed it. Not to mention making a red mark on a certain oscillator's peepee. I think he liked it...

I would imagine then that it is now a matter of policy that the moderators will will just as plainly identify each and every person that has placed a complaint? I'll expect that you will treat every post/poster the same and not single out anyone for this kind of treatment as you have done here. It is a sign of a very biased (read as "abusive") moderator - thanks. Did the original comment need a complaint to be deleted? Please forward the comment to me via a PM. Cheapshot mckyj57, and you know it.

My bad for jumping to conclusions.

The fact that it did, and that you called me out publicly for complaining is total bull****. And since it is public already, let me say this -- I don't care if anyone thinks I'm "thin-skinned." If someone called your spouse or significant other an a$$hole on a public forum and you didn't complain about it, I would say that there's something wrong with that.Whatever.

Cheapshot mckyj57, and you know it. Maybe. About as cheap as all the other shots going on around here..... If you want to try and work the system, fine. Just be aware that the system knows you are working it and pushing everything right to the edge. And I don't think this part of it is afraid to call you on it. You both know you are very provocative, and to provoke people and then complain when they provoke a bit back doesn't get much sympathy here.

If you call an expectation of treating everyone fairly and equally as "working the system" then yes, absolutely. I will expect that from this point on, it is apparently a policy change (that you've decided to initiate) of karaokescene to inform the public of the source of every complaint. And again yes, I would call your decision to publicly disclose the source of a complaint as "the system working the members" or in the least your willingness to abuse what responsibility you've been charged with. ("drunk with power") and your eagerness to point fingers elsewhere and act like the victim here.

I don't have that power. If I have erred by alluding to the complaint -- again I didn't do it explicitly, you chose to highlight it and make it an issue -- then I apologize. It was pretty obvious to the target. If you don't want to be called names, even obliquely, don't do it yourself. And calling someone an "it" is that. And saying the world would be better off if it was all Chips? That is certainly asking for it.
In other words, you are guilty, in my opinion of course, of being able to dish it out but not take it. There is a lot of agreement about that, and if I get my peepee whacked for saying that, so be it. You create controversy, push it, and here we see the result. To go to the metaphor locker one more time, we'll let the chips fall where they may.

Wait a minute...it's asking for it for saying that I think the world would be a better place if everyone were more like my husband??? Really??? What the h#ll??? Why on earth is that controversial? If I didn't think the world of him, I wouldn't have married him, and the fact that I am proud of that, and of him, somehow in your eyes, I'm provoking ire or ridicule? Your problem with that comment obviously shows the contempt you have for that man. So much for "moderate." Birdofsong
