Wow! Now I know why Bazza argues with me in terms of MP3 sound quality- SUNFLY in the top five for music quality? really?

I rate them a step below Backstage, if that's possible. I'm thinking Idol Makers might be the only ones below them...

Sunfly's newer stuff is alot better than their older stuff, since SBI now makes their tracks.

Yup. And I could say the same thing to Joe about Supercore.

Supercore is Backstage. Many of their tracks still have the Backstage logo on the opening screen.

My question was ignored.

What is the source of Supercore or their current brand?

Joe C?

Where do you go for updates from them?

Not true.

Supercore isn't anything. I don't think it exists anymore, except as Karaoke Kurrents.

As far as source, they are an aggregator. Many of their oldie tracks are Pioneer with redone lyrics. They have just a few Sound Choice (repackaged as Amerising) and Pop Hits tracks. They have some SBI. A lot of Panorama, and/or whatever Big Country and Big Hitz are. Never saw a Backstage track, though of course there might be some because I haven't played all the ones I have.

1) Completely and absolutely wrong. SuperCore, as previously stated, but ignored, is a compilation comany, that had agreements with other companies to share tracks. Thus you will find trcks from DK, Amerising, MM, PS, Legends, Pioneer, and many other labels included on their discs.

2) Their new label is Karaoke Kurrents. They come out with small multi-disc collections around twice a year. They also have another label ( also mentioned earlier and ignored) for country called All Country Hits.

All their stuff is WAY better than Stellar's quickly released but very generic stuff. The country label is second only to CB for quality.

But remember, I play them in mp3 so I can't really tell the difference between brands

That could be debated if these companies actually were still in business and had licensing to begin with since MM supposedly got sued out of business for not licensing anything (or much of their library) so how can these out of business companies give permission or create agreements? I (IMO) do not believe the SuperCore or Karaoke Kurrents are legal to begin with, but that's just me.

SBI makes the newer Sunfly tracks for the last year or so.

What I stated is fact.

Come to my show and I will produce the Supercore discs that display not only Backstage, but Standing Ovation's logo as well.

While you simply insult my statement and dismiss tangible evidence you still avoid my original query:

Lonman caught it...

What, or who, or where EXACTLY is the source of Supercore/Karaoke Kurrents/whatever the foxtrotuniformcharliekilo you want to call them?

I cannot locate the entity that produces those tracks. I haven't seen any updates since the 2010 product.

What do you know that we don't?

Who are these people and are they licensing their product?

I didn't know they were using these brands but I knew they were using MM & Backstage  I only order their latest stuff like Michael Bublé, Medley's & French music.

Good point but if MM were the one creating the backing, can't they just sell the arrangements to a company that will in return pay the license fee? MM only owns the logo and the arrangement as they were the ones paying the musicians...

But you're right, how can the "out of business" companies sell their brand if they're out of business? How can MM sell their entire collection to Tricerasoft and Karaoke-Version :?: :!:

Well it's possible with something that was brought up in the KJ section re same music between manus - the manus MIGHT get their music from the same source studio and just add their own graphics in which the music WOULD be the same from whoever bought the music so top 5 manus would be moot at that point if they are outsourcing music instead of creating their own - would definitely be a money saver in that respect. I know that the CB & SGB version of Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man are musically identical, there is no mistaking. Don't know why they would use such a terrible music track.

Please note that I said these companies had agreements amongst themselves. I never brought up licensing one way or another, and being mfr. original disc based, never bothered to research it. No need.

Also, MM was still in business when the first sets of SuperCore were being produced. That would be up to either SPC-18 or SPC-24 of their discs.
