We took a solid hit from Sandy here in NJ, as most of you may know.

Glad to hear you are OK Joe.

In my corner of NY we just got power back yesterday and internet this morning. Ran the generator for 32 hours straight! My property was spared any trees/large limbs but there still TONS of trees leaning on power lines around here.

Thanks, Bazza! Yup, dangerous out there. BTW- if your ( or anyone else here's) generator is a Champion, please be aware that the following two models have been recalled due to a major fire hazard:

Model 41332- Marked 8250 starting watts, 6500 running watts

Model 41532- Marked 9600 starting watts, 7000 running watts.

I THINK both were sold exclusively at Costco, but if you own one, please double check the model.

I do not, but heard it on the news tonight.

Bazza, be careful out there.....

Some folks lost their lives. Some folks lost their homes. Some kids lost a parent or two and Joe Chartreuse is concerned about his boredom ruining his nights out on the town. What a concerned citizen!

You would think that all of those UP SCALE venues that Joe works in could afford back up plans.

I agree on all points BFFL. The thing is, I also watched my shore house float away. I guess I was trying to find another way to think around it, and it came out shallow.

It was a vacation home, so nothing valuable was kept there.

I am blessed because all of my loved ones are safe.

I was selfish in my statements, but not in my heart. I just don't open up well. My apologies.
