OK, before this gets out of hand AGAIN, let me tell you the work around for finding out the manu.
I have Netflix, for a small monthly fee, we can have a fun movie night with the kids!! It beats going out and renting movies and we can watch as many as we want.
That is where the Karaoke Cloud comes in. I am not plugging our product by anymeans I just want you to see the big picture!
As a mother and a KJ it is a great thing for us! All of my children LOVE to sing. For a fee of $9.99 per month we have the KC home streaming service. We pull it up on our phones and computer. My kids log in and sing for hours. Lots of entertainment for a cheap price. (Those of you with as many kids as I have would understand just how expensive it is to find something we all enjoy for cheap!!) That being said, as a KJ I use this to find new songs.
The manu debate could go on all day. If you have been in the business as long as I have you will know that you cannot stick to just one manu. Different brands for different songs. With having the home service I hear all of the different versions and then can decide which one suits me the best. Once I find the right one I purchase it.
I hope this has helped. Just trying to let everyone see it from my end.

@johnreynolds - I am no more intelligent than anyone here. Success is relative and highly subjective.
@cueball - I didn't lump people together. I shouldn't have to call this out, but if you read what I wrote I said "...some of the same people...". Neither was my observation generalized. I noticed a specific trend and called it out. I also wasn't thinly veiling anything. It wasn't an insult, although, without saying the word, I did call folks out as being hypocrites.
I appreciate that people have opinions. But when those opinions are founded on untrue, incomplete or otherwise tainted information, then my respect for those opinions diminishes. When those opinions are counter to actual behavior, then my respect for them diminishes. When those opinions include the hoped demise of a company for no reason other than someone doesn't like policies that don't actually impact them, then my respect for those opinions rapidly diminishes.

-Chris Add HUMBLE to the list. You're very well spoken too along with logical reasoning. A good sign of higher intelligence. Walk the walk and talk the talk, not just TALK like most people. Merry Christmas Chris. You're an under-appreciated asset here, like it or not

You can get the Priddis version through Easy Karaoke - download. NOPE. That is Beyonce's version. I am looking for Badfinger. Easy doesn't offer it, on Tricerasoft. But thanks, anyway. No it's the Badfinger version http://www.easykaraoke.com search no matter what - Badfinger, Meatloaf & Boyzone come up But if you are going through Tricerasoft, there is SBI & Sunfly versions available which is what DT would most likely be offering since these are two of the brands they are selling now. OHHHHHHHHHHHH. Thank you. The U.K Is so far ahead of us, in so many ways. The U.S.A. could learn from them. all my badfinger stuff is from SBI. and it's awesome.

( i bet they love the 1/2 italian attitude from long island) I have been with the same girl for 18 years. We are quite happy together and we have two beautiful children. We have a 19 year old girl, who is from a previous relationship, and who is an excellent student and has never gotten into any trouble, and we have our 6 year old boy, who is awesome, though a bit rambunctious. Do you play video games all day instead of taking care of any kids you may have had? I not only take care of my kids, I take care of a friend's kids. But I do play video games at night. I find it very relaxing.Did you complete high school and graduate? Nope. School was never my thing. I learned much more out of school than in it. Do you think you have more street smarts or book smarts? I would have to say I have an even amount of both. I read a lot, and I do plenty of research online, but I also know how to handle myself in the real world. Have you ever been very successful in business, friendships, relationships, monetarily, or have you been resigned to the mediocrity of life in a lower class of economics? I have had the same set of friends for many, many years. My best friend lives on Long Island. We have been friends since 1985. My locally closest friend lives here in Florida. We have been friends since I moved down here in 2004. I have been his back-up in running his show for the last 6 years. I have plenty of friends around here. I have not run a business, until now, and I am still in the starting phase. I have never been wealthy, nor have I wanted to be. I think people who have a lot of money tend to be greedy, and corrupt, and tend to be condescending a$$holes. I am quite happy with my life, overall.
If you have any more questions be sure to ask. I don't have anything to hide, because I don't do anything wrong. Oh, and if you need to know, my criminal records is clean, outside of traffic infractions. YOU ASKED....let's now see if you can ANSWER.... By the way, I DO respect Chris and Lonnie, and I thank them for the advice they have given me. That being said, if I do not like the way I am being talked to I will not bow down and kiss ANYONE'S a$$. I will tell them what I think. If they don't like it, that isn't my problem. If YOU don't like it, that's not my problem, either. I am who I am, and I, and my family are very proud of who I am. I won't apologize for who I am, nor for what I believe. Got it??

Well since we've thrown dignity and respect out the window, why don't you head to the dollar store and buy some more wife beaters! You look like the kind of guy that thinks a cleaning is taking a wash cloth, wetting it down and damping your armpits. As I said your people skills suck! I'm not sure what your objective to hanging out at this forum is. If you came here to learn, I'm sure you've done so. If you've came here to teach people how not to act, you've done so. I'm not as gracious as Lonnie is. I didn't respond to any of your posts or threads for six months because I knew I would go off like this and personally, I find it unbecoming of myself. Go seek counselling or since you have the internet, go look up "How to Win Friends and Influence People". You might be the one person I'd tell the owner either 86 him or I'm out the door! There, did I grow a pair big enough for you?
My apologies to the OP for getting off topic. My apologies to the forum but I had to get this out of my system. I'm done reading or responding to this thread and this tool.

Hopefully that made you feel better. One thing, as for hygiene I am obsessive about it. I wear tank-tops,(yes they are tank tops. Wife beaters are sleeveless undershirts. I don't wear those. They are too close fitting), because I live in Florida, and I get hot very easily. When I work, or go out I dress much better. Hey Ripman, have a very Merry Christmas.

Quote: What I find amusing about the folks that have complained about this is that they are some of the same people that... You generalized the statement by starting off with Quote: about the folks that have complained ... Well, I am one of the folks who complained... thus the generalization. It didn't matter afterwards that you correlated it was only some of the people that are hypocrites. I still felt lumped into the statement (emphasis on the words I Felt... regardless of whether that was your intention or not). As for the rest of what you said... I hear ya, and understand.

First off, Lonman is one of the greatest resources available on this forum. I have gained so much knowledge about the karaoke business in general simply by reading his posts or asking him directly any questions I have. Others post very informative stuff as well and it's cool knowing I can come here from time to time and pick up some "tricks of the trade", etc. As others have stated, Chris is very well spoken (imo) and has a very good business sense about him. He simply takes emotion out of most conversations and ever so eloquently gets to the point from a businessman's perspective. I wish I was better at that:)
Smooth, you definitely speak your mind and I suppose there is merit in that. I, personally, try to refrain from attacking or insulting anyone else here just because their views are different than mine. It's way too easy for things to get out of hand on a message board.

WHO has asked you to 'kiss' anything or bow down to anyone here? Nobody. Where does THAT even come from?? What I "GOT" from reading your posts is that you disrespected Lonman and called Chris a Mook. That was uncalled for. Being "who you are" is everyones right. BECOMING SMARTER and WISER and talking/acting/behaving like a grown-up may be a goal you should shoot for. Surprisingly you are older than i am...and are middle-aged. Unreal! Btw... WHY such hatred towards (SC)... a brand of product? you seemingly have an "unhealthy hatred" towards their owner (Kurt) you've probably never met, their lawyer (James) you've probably never met, and a few policies/tactics which MANY OTHERS HERE ALSO AGREE are/were questionable.... ...and you DON'T EVEN USE the product!?!! Wtf?? You wish their (SC's) demise yet YOU WOULD (?) in a heartbeat media-shift if you could with permission and without having to pay? THEN and only then would you appreciate the quality of their product and want them to produce more music in the future?? Help Me understand YOUR stance because i don't have the time to read every post in this forum and i'm sure other inquiring minds would like to know WHY you seemingly hate everything SC. It IS a QUALITY PRODUCT. NO ONE HERE "worships" an owner, a lawyer, or a brand, so stop saying anyone does!

Wow so much hate going on in post, what is wrong with all of you? Y'all don't even know each other personally and yet you let someone get under your skin and start calling each other names. It's beginning to look like this forum is turning into what that other forum was before the owners pulled the plug.
Here's to everyone that can stand it. "Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year"

SBI is the best version of Back In Black, that I have heard. The timing is perfect, and the sound is spot on. It even sounds like the guitarist is using a Gibson SG.

johnreynolds wrote: Quote: Blah Blah Blah, drunken rant, blah blah blah!!! John, give it a rest, already. Everyone knows why I dislike SC. I think their policies are intrusive, self destructive, and a general nuisance. I think they should get off their high horse, and realize that they are a Karaoke vendor, and as such should not be throwing their weight around. If I want to media shift, I should have every right to, because I paid for their product. Almost all the other mfrs are fine with shifting, and I have plenty of responses from them to prove it. I find Kurt Slep to be a manipulative control freak who has a need to tell others what to do and how to do it. He is also greedy, charging people for a service they do not need, and many don't want, even though they paid good money for their CDGs. I DO use my 38 discs. I haven't stopped using them. I just will not buy more of their products until their policies change, OR they decide to get modern and offer single song downloads. It's very simple. As for James, lawyers are known liars because they have to be. That is part of servicing their clients. Most lawyers are just as corrupt as the politicians, too. They are driven by the money they make, right or wrong. That is why I don't trust very much he says. As for you, John, maybe it is time for you to step away from the bottle and get on with your life. You have had your fun with me. I have answered your questions, now get over it. You don't like me, I don't like you, there's nothing for it, and It doesn't effect MY life in the slightest. So, to you and yours, have a very Merry Christmas.

TroyVnd27 wrote: Lonnie thought I was crazy a year or so ago when I said that BackStage had the best Eagles I have ever heard. I have that disc, and besides the couple of tracks that aren't available anywhere else - Get Over It (which IS much better than both the Sunfly & SBI versions currently available) & Take It Easy again better than the SBI, Sunfly & Zoom versions currently available, the rest I have on SC and it can't be beat. Even Zoom - although much better on some of the other tracks, just isn't the same. Quote: EDIT: SGB's "Back In Black" is THE BEST version available. Big disagree here. They don't even use a full intro of the song and the swipes are off and music sounds over processed. BTW musically it's the same as All Hits. I will stick with the SC version of this one too - wasn't their best attempt - drums could have been a little heavier - but a little crank on the bass & mid bass can work well, but still sounds more accurate and complete.
