I'm not saying that is the case or not. Like I said in my previous post, I was just playing "Devil's Advocate" by giving that extreme example to answer Chris's question of "Why?".

I am like you. I would never attempt to take a gig from someone else who I just filled in for. Case-in-point: I once filled in for a KJ at a local Bar. The Manager liked the way I ran the show, and asked me if I had a business card. I responded to the Manager, that if he wanted me back, he would have to contact the other KJ (the one who I was filling in for), and ask him for my contact info. I explained to the Manager that I didn't feel right handing out my Business cards when I was filling in for someone else's show.
