Hey, there's a Harley shop here in Portland, as well as one if Tigard (both very close to me)...... actually, I was going to go there anyhow to get my son (who's name is Harley) a jacket or something for christmas. I'd be happy to get you one from here, if they have them.
I'll PM you when I find out.
(and what a cool idea, I think your bro will LOVE that....) :D

Hey Cathi, that would be great. I'm sure when you tell the brothers what you're doing, I'm sure they'll be more than glad to help you out.
Thanks a bunch,
James

do i really care @ Sun Oct 15, 2006 3:59 am wrote: mailed the austin contingent on wednesday. bet you get it monday! dang! i wanted to be first!
Got yours today, it was waiting for me when I got home, so you did get yours in second. ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif) Thanks so much, so yes Texas is in the house!!!!!!!!!
So keep'em coming folks...you know I say thank you every time you folks help me out with my Karaoke stuff and I say thank you each time I get a dip dot in the mail.
And I'm sure some folks might say, 'hey it's just a dip dot'....no it's much more than that, it's friends helping me give my brother something very unique. I mean this means so much more than going to a store and racking my brain on what to buy. So saying thank you kinda falls short when it comes to the appreciation that I have for you folks doing this for me.
But for now, I'm going to say goodnight, it's been a very long day. I spent most of my day driving. I went to a Veterans Memorial dedication in a town close by. I've worked very closely with a couple of the motorcycle groups that help keep the memories of our fallen brothers and sisters alive. And although I never served in our armed services, these folks still embrace me as a true brother, which in my world is very humbling. I take photographs of the ceremonies and events for these groups, and I've been active in several fundrasiers and poker runs for the 278th based out of Tennessee who served and are currently serving in Iraq. But more about that later.
Then on my way home, I stopped by the Marina where my regular friday night gig is to find out the band they hired stood them up. So I rushed back home, packed the gear, and we did Karaoke. The crowd that was there had in fact come to see the band, but before evenings end, I won over many new fans, who expressed they had much more fun than would have had with just seeing a band play. I mean I cranked it up tonight. We did everything from Bowie to Alice Cooper, Mitch Ryder, Allman Bros., James Brown, Billy Idol, etc. I mean I wore them out, had the whole bar dancing and singing along, especially when we did Chuck Berry's 'My Ding a Ling... ![LOL LOL](./images/smilies/emot-LOL.gif) even had them raising their fist when I did Rebel Yell, it was great, one of the best shows I've had. Before the night was over, I had to make it a point to thank the band for not showing up.
But back to the point, thank you folks, this truly represents what I feel is the true nature of the people here. Regardless of our differences, our opinions, our disagreements, we've set all those things aside, just to help a guy trying to give his brother a xmas present that he'll always remember. This is what separates us from the other artist. We may be small in numbers, but collectively we make things happen. We give people what they may be lacking in their personal lives, a chance to sing, a chance to come out of their shell. We provide them with a freedom that few other professions can claim. We should take pride in that. I know I do and I hope that you feel the same way. So a tip of the hat and a bow of respect to each and every one of you.
Much love and wet dreams to all of you....

COLORADO IS IN DA HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got a dipdot from Karyoker all the way from Colorado...woohooo thank you sir that was mighty nice of ya.
So we're up to three now. Keep'em coming folks. My brother just got back from Biketoberfest in Daytona, and while he was down there, of course he went around looking at dipdots that folks had for sale. The cheapest was 5 bucks, all the way up to 20 depending on where they came from. Hey I'm all about free enterprise, but geesh, they got the things for free. Anyways, thanks again folks.

Well we can bump that up to Texas-2, Colorado-1, and Tennessee-1 thanks to Kellyoke, who along with the two dipdots sent a patch from the Union City Fire Dept. Way to go Kelly, thanks man. Four is a great start, but just like any other telethon or fundraiser, we'd always like to have more. I have other folks from my shows who will also be bringing me dipdots from various places, and while that's cool, it's still not as special as receiving them from you guys. I'm the one who introduced my brother to the brother/sister hood of the world of motorcycles. I would like to be able to show him another group who's unity is just as strong.
Thanks again,
James

I picked up the dot from my local store. I was a bit disappointed because it doesn't have the city or state on it. I do have a question. Do they need to be round or flat?? I got one of each but I was just curious...

Round or flat, it doesn't matter. I've seen several different styles, from the size of a nickel to half dollar, average size is about the size of a quarter. What I'm going to do is get one of those United States maps that folks use to put the new quarters in and let him keep track of it that way for starters. Or I may just get like coin pages that you can put in a book, so he can display them that way.
Believe me Isis anything will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Alaska is in the house thanks to dsharrow. Thank you so much because I'm sure that's one place we'd never make it to on a bike. Woohoo, this is great.
Okay so we're Texas-2, Colorado-1, Tennessee-1, Alaska-1
Alright, so we're up to 5 entries now, this is so cool, and man is my brother going to be surprised.
Thanks again so much folks.

What? You don't feel like traveling 4200 bug eatin' miles over bad road on a hard tail? ![LMAO LMAO](./images/smilies/emot-LMAO.gif) Glad to see they pushed that dog team hard to get it there!
BTW all of you that that makes Alaska the greatest submission per capita. ![High 5 :hi5:](./images/smilies/emot-highfive.gif) Better get the lead out!
