personally like a lot of your posts. you have some good points-of-views and beliefs, but when you make everyone else wrong because they don't agree with you

I don't wish to be a part of lynchmob mentality.  Sidewinder has done nothing that *I* currently deem as unreasonable regarding my own interrelating with him/her etc.  I'm not ganging up on anyone, I'm not here to line up and stone others !  Got too much real life garbage to worry about besides who might be whom a year later in an Internet chatroom.

It can be a humbling experience !  But for some reason since I already know I'm a dumbass, I just like joining in when this happens !  Usually I end up getting TOS violations too because when all is said and done,  Turns out I'm the one using several aliases calling myself the dumbass, and noone else has much of a chance to get a word in edgewise.  Guess my point is,  in most arguments and discussion at some point, the other side doesn't concede.  If I can accept this, I might eventually be able to survive in politics

I think one week of that would kill me !

BTW, Karen K DID NOT call you a karaoke-nazi!  :no:  In a former post I mentioned the nazi-thing not directed to anyone in particular, and Karen mentioned she has "known" a few before and hoped we didn't have another one.

Yep, saying that you have illegal ripped cdg's is sure stupidity. That's why the karaoke companys are going down hill and out of business plus due to alot of muliple systems under 1 kj (I can name a few), file sharing, etc. Those of you who have super shows, legally, congrats.

I have run computer karaoke for over 7-8 years. First system was Win98SE 750 cpu and 256 ram. For a year or two I used Cavs PE player which was software that played cd's in the Plextor or mcg and mp3 files. The Cavs software with encoder decoder and player was $150.  I have used winamp, S&D and now use Roxbox. Back then people were arguing that playing cd's with software was illegal. And I suppose there are some here that would do also. I have listened to  the guesses and arguments and have spent days on google looking. It has not been proven to me that computer karaoke is illegal

I ripped cd's for years in fact I wore out 2 plextors in the process. Since then I have added a few  a month using THM etc. I have thousands of dollars invested in cd's I HAVE PAID MY DUES... I keep a library pruned to about 13k karaoke and 9k DJ. Nothing magic about these numbers At a certain point I said this rediculous.

When you have PAID YOUR DUES and can provide me with a web site that describes your system and shows everybody that you are real then we will talk. In the meantime get the hell out of my face.

I busted my rear for alot of years to get  the 1000's of dollars in equipment and cdg's which I still use. I'm sure you did the same. Why should I go ask a carpenter about the tools he uses? You know they don't speak English.

You and all here (who could be ASCAP/BMI or Sound Choice or the FEDS) are free to your opinions about anyone and everyone.  

I am not about to put myself or my bar owners in legal jeapardy.  I don't know why any "responsible KJ" would be bragging about being illegal on their web sites, all around the world.   Everyone has access to them including Sound Choice, ASCAP/BMI and the FEDS.  

Now how can any KJ think it's going to benefit them by advertising and publicly announcing their illegal activity and where to find them doing it?    Would the bar owner like that info broadcasted?  Better ask them first.

Everything is at risk by those actions.   Read the title of this thread.   I'm a little smarter than that.  I'm not flag waving my business to anyone (everyone) that could cost me my livelihood and ruin many bar owners at the same time.  Why, so i can brag about my music being on a computer?  Do you think that will get you more jobs??  No bar owner gives a rats A$$ about your music computer.    To me it's just plain stupid.   NOBODY CARES.

When i get hired no bar owner ever asks how i play my music.   They wouldn't know if it was a disc, a computer or stick beating on a tin can.

Call the Feds, tell them you cheated on your taxes for the last 30 years, and want to be in jail for tax evasion.    Call the State Police and tell them where you'll be speeding on the way to work.   Call Sound Choice and tell them about you illegal computer show on friday.   Call the LCB and tell them about the underage drinkers and the poker machines and the after hour parties, and the bartender drinking behind the bar, and the football pools and the hookers and the bookies.    Kill everything about the business.   Take'm all down with you.

WHY WOULD YOU BROADCAST IT???   Got a death wish?   I don't.  I worked to hard to get to this point to be stupid about it now.    And that ends this discussion.
