Hmmm.  I don't think I've ever heard that one, or at least I don't recognize the title.  Then again, I'm not a big fan of Prince.  Some of his stuff is ok, though.

This is a niche market and from what I read else where he is doing well.

It's been going ok.  Much better when it's not a rainy Super Bowl Sunday night.  We've had as many as 40 people with almost everyone singing but there were only about 10 on Super Bowl nite.  Unfortunately, I get almost zero money from bar regulars.  It's out of the way so everyone that comes is coming just for us.  That means I've made almost no money but it's still been fun.  Folks have spent close to $100 to sing bad songs and the nightly contests have been a blast.  So far, we've done Morrissey, metal, "Girls Just Wanna Sing Songs" and Bowie (plus see the separate ABC thread).   It's growing but I'm definitely wishing I could find somewhere that'd make me more money but the club is very cool and set up like a real rock club, not a neighborhood bar.  We shall see!

Oh yea, our first "vote" is next month.  I did something called "Operation Rescue" a couple of weeks ago and had a vote to "promote" a song from our "Dreaded Ten" and send one down.  4 Non Blondes' "What's Up" was promoted and Bette Midler's "From A Distance" took its place.  Next month, we'll actually ban a song.  Can't wait!
