Something I came up with many years ago. Used folding drum throne and some old LDC mounts and an old mic stand part if I remember right. A piece of modded U channel at the top. Screen simply hangs on the lip. The end screw heads prevent it from sliding sideways. The low screen profile is liked by all. Gives a more professional look to the singer IMO.[/img] Have used this for about 5 years now. And no, never had it knocked over.

I'm building a solution for mine - vesa mount that "hooks" over my lighting rig.

Keeps the display nice and high, and takes about a minute to setup.

Will post when done...

I recently bought myself an LCD screen & stand.

I bought a Soundlab G001AB stand which was £55 with delivery (it will probably be the same in dollars in USA, these things usually are) and I have to say, I'm pleased with it, it is built like a tank & very sturdy. Not some cheap flimsey aluminium job. You can adjust the height & tilt very easily.
It will break down into 3 parts for transporting, or 2 parts if you leave the vesa mounts screwed to the TV. I think I will do this & build a box to store the TV with the vesa mounting still attached.

The mic holder attachment is plastic and looks like it would end up in 1000 pieces if the stand were to fall but there is a little box to store it in. However, the main stem on the stand is quite a way back from the TV once it is mounted so singers might still be looking at you after they finish, wondering where to put the mic (for some, singers of course, there are various alternative suggestions).

The drinks attachment & the castors are already in their permenant new home ready to be collected by the dustmen. I will buy some rubber feet from to put in place of the castors & I would never want to encourage singers to bring their drinks to the stage.
