The venue I started out with had STRICT volume control issues... restaurant on theother side of the wall.

Everybody told them that you're just hurting the business, and they said they made far more on the restaurant side of things than on the five hours a night of karaoke... so they basically told us to shut the F up and deal with it until midnight when the restaurant closed and then the volume could go up to serious partying levels.

Old saying...If it's too loud, yer too old; and if your parents hate it, it must be good! Yeah, up the volume. I can't seem to perform some songs at a quiet setting. Billy Idol's White Wedding or Rebel Yell isn't the same sung quietly.
