So, when you buy you mic make sure they are 600 to 698mhz
Where did you read this? Can you provide the URL to it?
I think I'm probably going to break down and get 2 of the Sennheiser EW135 G3 units. I just got my Tax Return of $800, so at $600 each, I still have to come up with $400 more. I've been checking on the Internet, and it seems like nobody is going lower than that $599.95 price (with free shipping (and no tax, since I would be out of State)).

Electro Voice RE-2 UHF Wireless Handheld Microphone System - with RE2 Receiver, HTU-2 Handheld Transmitter and N/D767A Microphone Head (Band A - 648 - 676MHz)
Best I've used so far. I hear no "Handling Noise" at all. The 767A mic head has a higher gain before feedback compared to others which is sure nice when you get those wanna-be rappers cupping the mic. Since I got these a year ago, I haven't had any feedback problems due to impropper mic use.
At B&H Photo and Video I paid $385 then, but I see they've gone up to $449 now.

I do love the sound of the ND767A head. I own a wired version, and they are excellent.
This sounds like an excellent option, and if I ever buy another wireless mic I will strongly consider this one. How durable does it seem to be?
I have really been impressed with the AKG durability with their packages, and another mic to consider is:

This is the step up from the WMS40 several folks here have in use. I have used it at a show, and the sound is excellent.

Thanks for the suggestion, but first off, I checked B&H Photo's website, and it says "No Longer in Stock." Secondly, I don't want a Mic that requires a 9V battery. I want the ones that use AA batteries (I believe I mentioned this in one of my previous posts).

Just ordered my AKG WMS 40 Dual mike set. Will let you know how it ends up.
Each mike uses 1 AA battery.

Right now I am between shows. Need to get a new car that I can pay outright for. If you are only looking for single mikes they make it in a single version too. I went with dual because the price was right for the Dual.
I believe that Mcky57 uses a set of them and posted a review in the tech section.

I remember that.... you linked me to it before. It's not one of the more stellar review of Mics that I've heard.... just a passable review. When you get them, I'd like to know what you really think about them. Like I said before, I'm not looking to get a set of wireless Mics at a cheap price for fear of them getting damaged at my show. I want something that has good quality... something that doesn't get much feedback or interference or signal loss. Also, something that isn't sensitive to the touch, where it picks up every little movement of your hand while gripping it.
Yes, I would be looking to get (preferably) a dual unit, but from what I've seen so far, they are either way way way out of my price range, or they're some cheap or sucky brand (like Hisonic or Vocopro (that's right... I don't trust Vocopro, and consider them to be cheap quality mics)). I wrote to Sennheiser, asking if they had any (on the UHF frequency), and they wrote back very honestly. They mentioned some model series, and then told me that I would be better off getting 2 of their EW 135 G series instead (they said it would be cheaper in cost). I checked, and it is noticeably cheaper. The models they mentioned to me start at about $1800, and the 2 EW135's would cost me $1200.

I got mine for $258 shipped on Ebay but they are going at most dealers for over $300. I personally don't want to spend an arm and a leg for SM58 quality when I can get good sound from a cheaper mike. I actually prefer my Freeport and am sorry to have to stop using it due to FCC rules.

Sorry, I didn't notice your battery preference.
But I can say without hesitation that I get similar battery life from 9v's with these mics. (i.e. 12 - 15 hours). This proves to be quite economical to me when accompannied by purchaceing the batteries in bulk (75 - 100 at a time) which reduces the average cost to apprximately $1 each; working out to be approximately $0.33 per mic per show.
Also they were in stock when I recomended them; as they are now http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Nt ... Search=yes
I see that the system with 267 head is out of stock though (requires 7-14 days for delivery). And they aren't accepting orders through the Passover holidays (through 6 Apr)

I just caught a big break....
I decided to go with 2 sets of the Sennheiser EW135 G3 series. I have been checking the internet, and I haven't found 1 single site that carries it, offer it for less than the $599 each.
I just saw it on e-bay, and 1 dealer out there was offering a "B Stock" of this Mic for $439 each (plus $10 S&H). Well it turns out, after I asked the seller many questions over a week's time, he ran out of the B Stock, and has offered to sell me NEW ones at the B Stock price. Sennheiser makes this Mic in 3 frequency ranges for the US --- A Range (516-558 MHz), B Range (626-668 MHz), and G Range (566-608 MHz). I ordered 2 of them from this e-bay Seller, and I specified that I want the B Frequency (he told me that he has A and B). I spoke with him on the phone, and he said that it won't be a problem.
That's about a $300 savings I just got.
