Danny, he's using the 2-Track output which is wired in parallel to the main output on that board. His speakers only have RCA inputs. There is no need for him to use the XLR or 1/4" outputs. If there's no levels showing on the board, then there is no signal coming in, how he patches to his speakers doesn't matter.

My guess is that the player is probably not sending output on the RCA ouptuts because it is using the HDMI. To prove this you can try plugging the RCA outputs from the player directly into those speakers. I'm betting you're not going to see sound through them.

Not sure if there is some way to get that player to send audio output both on the HDMI and the RCA at the same time.

Tony The speakers work fine. When I plugg the RCA output from the player directly into the speakers the sound comes through them no problem.....This is really frustrating the bejesus outta me.

Thier is a problem anytime I try going through the mixer....(no sound) I have tried every configuration with the little buttons on the mixer pressed some in...left some alone...etc.etc...and nothing.....can't get the audio to come through the mixer into the speakers. The audio only comes from the tv speakers.....I can see the green lights on the main mix rise and fall in time to the music (sometimes).....I could really use some help guys....

Here is where I am at right now. I have ditched the hdmi cable just in case tis is causing a problem and I have hooked the player to the TV using a scart lead.

I have run the white/red RCA cable from the white/red socket on the back of the player marked (L) and (R) to the Input of the mixers CD/Tape In I have run a RCA cable from the output of the CD?Tape on the mixer to the speaker, The speaker has a volume control button and a Bass and Treble button.

I am wondering if there is some thing I need to do with the TV or the players audio menu....right now I am at a complete loss and just trying anything! With no effect.....I'm hoping there is something simple I am missing...bare in mind I am both new to this type Karaoke player AND to using a MIXER...maybe there is something I am missing with the mixer......You mentioned earlier running it through the 5/6 stereo to the main mix Tony.....I don't even know how to properly do that...that's how raw I am . Any further help greatly appreciated.

OK this is different information than you gave us before. Get back to a configuration where you can see these lights (the meters) showing levels like that. Keep that configuration on the board.

I just did some reading up on the mixer you have and found this situation to be pretty lame. You cannot use the RCA inputs and outputs at the same time. When you press the button to send the CD to Main, it disables the CD output. So either we need to connect your speakers to the Main Output or connect your player to one of the stereo channels. I'd recommend the latter, but I'll describe how to do both (which you could do both and that'd be fine too).

To connect the player to either stereo channel marked 5/6 or 7/8 you'll need a pair of 1/4 inch phono to RCA adapters such as these which you should be able to get at a local electronics store: http://www.fullcompass.com/product/300355.html . Plug these into the RCA cable coming from your player and use them to plug into the L and R inputs on either channel 5/6 or 7/8. There is a level button right below those inputs, make sure it is depressed (engaged) so that it will operate at -10 as marked.

To connect the speakers to the main outputs on the back, the cables Danny linked to will not work. Those have XLR Male ends which will not do you any good. Rather, I would suggest you go to the local electronics store and get a pair of simple XLR Female to RCA adapters like this: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/ ... D=26023390

See how this goes for you.
