Not really..........there was a story, and that was my claim....so the claim is for real.......in small print, though......I wrote it, and it didn't really happen to my knowledge. But, as Loni said...it could happen..... so wear a non-conducting, non-flamible, non-offending hat at your party.....

If the singers are wearing tin foil hats, will there be feedback problems?

Ha ha, Joe got one in. Are you packing a portable bunker to take with you to the show that night? I don't have room for much other than the karaoke gear. But if I survive, let's hope the bottles at the bar survive too in which case I will just drink them all and not care.
I have been confirmed for the End of the World Party and just in case, I booked the weekend after, too. Call me a spoil sport.

The plan for our End-Of-The-World party this Thursday, is to offer a "fabulous" prize for the most unique end-of-the-world song.
It stands to reason that the prize should be consumable... with time running out in no more than about 25 hours at the most.
I thought about having a large pizza delivered for the winner, but then I thought that wonderful smell of fresh, hot pizza wafting through the air wouldn't be fair to the others in the room...
Ah... who cares? They'll only hate me for a day, and then it's all over anyway.
Pizza it is !!!

Jimmy Buffett sang "Apocalypso" the last time the world ended--or one of the last times--bringing that one out again--"We'll be dancing when we go....."
I felt a bit awkward joking about the end of the world in light of it really ending for some way too soon last week. So I changed the promo a bit to End of the Old World, Let's Make a New World. But I'm still giving out Spam and Toilet Paper just in case.

Adding Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" to play at midnight if we are still here. Wonder if I should take the thunder sound effects.

Well no one really specified what time - is it precisely at midnight on the 21st? If so tonight would be the last night. If the 21st is 'the last day', then 11:59 PM on the 21st would be it and no 22nd would come. So which is it???

The news says that the Mayan prediction lands at 6:11 a.m. ET Friday morning, so all you folks planning a Friday night end of the world party did some very poor planning!
On the other hand, if this is the rapture, all all of the unwashed are left behind, I think all my regulars will still make it to my Saturday show, so I'm not too worried either way.

It’s now Friday, 8:40 AM, Dec 21, 2012 down under Sydney, Australia. Reports of no major untoward incidents, conditions normal, so far so good. Aussie’s monitor clock started last night. Attachment:
