Thank you, Chuck.
Thank you very much, Dani. Wow. ![lol lol](./images/smilies/emot-LOL.gif) I've tried singing that song so many ways, poor Lyn had to hear it with my "angry" voice. that sounded too annoying to me, so I just tried to work on a few points they gave me in the critique thread. Hopefully someone will critique me in there. I "think" I might be getting somewhere, but being schizofriendly, you just never know. :drunk: LMAO Thanks so much for your input.
Steven I sent it via pm. Let me know if you need anything.

I need a voice timbre that doesn't sound like a cross between Jerry Rafferty and Elmer Fudd ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif) You folks are so good, and I just can't do this... I feel like a basset hound trying to sing with with the choir. Although I may qualify for the Guinness book of records. Is there a category for most humorous rendition of a 70's "Tear Jerker" ? Maybe with some makeup (editing, reverb, EQ'ing etc) it can sound like something ???? Dunno...

The weirdest thing happened. I didn't try to do this song, I expended no thought or effort, and it doesn't sound half-bad, It sounds 3/4 bad, but that's a considerable improvement I think !

Hate to say *I told you so* but I did!
Ya see, when ya stop thinking about all the technical stuff, you flow much better cause you're into the song! Geez, do I get a medal or something?

I suppose that depends on whether or not that song is somewhat of an improvement, or I've gone over the deepend and REALLY don't have a clue at all.

So the questions
Around what vocal range should I attempt to learn to sing
Should I lay off the falsetto attempts
I tend to favor that headvoice tenor falsetto breakoff point range... Is that NOT where I should be playing around ?
HAHAHA....I relistened... "Hearing them, seeing them", I got my voice to crack and squeek just like Bob Dylan... Damn Is this where I'm headed ?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::searchin around for George Harrisons "Beware Of Darkness" Backing::::::::::::::::::::::

Kappy, the last recording is a step in the right direction. I could here you better and you sound more enthused by the tune. See if you can find one that inspires you or as close to that as you can find. Having fun with the music makes all the difference in the world.
This is only my opinion but I wouldn't give up on any part of your range just yet. The vocal cords are muscles and need to be built up before you can really say what not to do.

Thank you Chuck, Weirdest thing is I REALLY can't tell by my own ears where I do and do not belong, there's some type of weird blind-sightedness that takes place between what we want us to sound like singing the songs we like, and how we actually sound.. there's a cancelling mech that makes it really tough to discern
Chuck, Does this work for me ? Simple yes or no... No holds barred, I can and will take it.. I need to know the truth.

This is in a good place for your range. As GiGi says you are hitting the notes true instead of sliding into them.
That said, you need to push a little from your diaphragm, fill you lungs and project a little. This kind of song is good for that because it only takes a little projection not belting out the tune.
So in simpler terms, yes, but increase your presence in the song just a touch.

My honest opinion? Your falsetto can use a little work, but the more you use it, the better you will become!

Your vocals were a bit low, but this sounds like the type of song you can really excel in...

Thank you Dani ! I never would've known that either unless I played around like I have been, and was told this by you folks... This is interesting.. This is an area where at least initially it's really tough to hear ourselves... Soon I'll take the next step and move my sorry butt into my critique thread ![LMAO LMAO](./images/smilies/emot-LMAO.gif)
