Night Lena.  Pleasant dreams.  I had to sign out and reenter,  KS is locking up on me tonight.

HEHE,  Dani... This would be the perfect type night for me to really traumatize myself by putting some of my classic horror collection on .. You are correct, there is a type ambience tonight that almost has the ominous feeling right before IT HAPPENS     Seriously tho, it was creepy when I went for a walk around 9-10 PM,   the clouds lifted, the road was wet moon nearly full but it WAS VERY dark considering the air seemed crystal clear.  Perhaps because the moon rises later this time of year ?  Most halloweens are pretty dark... Moon isn't high until later.. right ?  or am I confused about this too LOL

Most of the larger ISP's and IP's do have interactive chat features don't they ?   Given my post count, assuming this were interactive... all you'd hear is me yacking... Everyone else would leave LMAO

This is supposedly among the three Super moons (whatever that means)  Some people follow this type thing

http://www.astrologerray.com/html/full_moon.html

But personally, I just say... Hmmm,  sort've eery and dark tonight..

btw,  no children,  I never married... I started growing up quite late, wished to reserve the right to go back out and play music at anytime,  but also owned up to the fact that I wasn't, and still am not ready to marry.. As bizarre as it sounds.. I still have A LOT of growing and grounding to do regarding myself. I really do wish to remain a teenager for awhile longer.  Quite honestly, until I can HONESTLY say "I'm ready to settle down for the rest of my life or stay commited for life", I can't and don't make false promises, I'm just REALLY glad it's 2007 and not 50 years earlier because being single was less socially acceptable 50 years back assuming you were the same age as some of us currently are.  It's not that I like being alone.  It's that I really am not lonely when I'm by myself.. and there's something VERY nice about not experiencing the stresses of relationships that aren't working... At this stage I'm more relaxed, and can focus on things such as learning to sing, cleaning up when I'm ready to.  Minimizing stress is what I wish for at this point.

So there's an answer to your original question and an accompanying thesis LOL

That is something my mother would say! She is a widow, and she's young too, but she'd rather be alone, she thinks relationships are way too complicated, and she likes her freedom!

I never followed the intricacies of being a Capricorn on a Gemini Cusp with certain moons rising.. I found some people that place such heavy emphasis on their horoscope (in the case of some more like a self-fulfilling horrorscope) to be creating just another superstition that limits them by creating the self-filling prophecy scenerio.  It's pretty weird, some of these people would tell me to be careful, it's a very unstable day for me.. and honestly, I REALLY wishe they ad kept such a ray of sunshine to themselves LOL

Some people plan their lives according to the stars, it's all a matter of belief! Nothing wrong with that, but there are some who are a little fanatical about it!

I think healthy relationships are fabulous things... but I think unhealthy relationships are living hell.   My feelings are that when something is meant to be, it will be..  When I was younger I felt I HAD to be in a relationship or I was incomplete... Didn't hit me until about a decade ago that incomplete is an aspect of existentialistic ---- (Double word score) anxiety that isn't quelled --- (I think it's two l's) LOL

by a person being in a relationship, vs alone.. I'm really glad the internet exists because evenings used to be more lonely but the key I believe is.. HEALTHY relationship.  After many relationships spending more time in the process of ending compared to actual healthy duration. I'm somewhat guarded too..  Emotion is a TOUGH thing for some of us... Negative emotions are killer too !    So I believe in relationships, but I think being friends with the person is REALLY important.. that's not as common... "Romance" always set up blinders in my case..  Delays my getting to know the actual person, and in many cases, I never did..

This is an area of interest to me, but I won't get started  (even though I already did).. In brief, it took a lot of work for me to feel at all calm NOT being in a relationship, and as a result, MANY weren't healthy relationships because of my need not to be by myself... At one time I feared not being in a relationship..

I had nightmares last night.  Each time I started to fall asleep I saw these weird visions in my room... One time I even had to leave the room.. Dani got me all freaked out.  I really thought there was going to be some supernatural Omen last night.. LOL   I finally chalked it up to one of you playing a joke on me and astral-projecting to me condo and banging on the doors rearranging my dust bunnies just to freak me out.. So nothing out've the norm after-all

I couldn't wait until it hit 7:30am, LIGHT!!!

I better start sleeping in the daytime!

Sowee I creeped you guys out too, geez it must be contagious!

Dani, Lena, Chuck, Mikey, those I know...  Do me a favor Critique what I've been playing around with regarding my timbre on this.. only difference is a wind screen on the same old mic... at the end I tried to get the more closed (as opposed to wide smile) hollow deeper timbre, but my own feeling is that's not such a good thing, should I go for brighter ?  I know the attacks on the word "How" were rough, I need to transpose these down about a full step...  Anyway... Let me have it !   No holds barred

http://www.ksolo.com/actions/showSongPr ... uid=391398

I wish I could EQ, and have some reverb !!!

My own feelings are it's too high for me, and I need to start working on diction !
annunciation of words, and inflection !!  It's a Diva thing !!!

also,  should I scrap the falsetto ?   Curious.. I want to do what sounds the best in the opinions of you more skilled vocalists.. I honestly can't hear me objectively !!

Mr. Kaplan,

Okay, here goes...

First thing is the volume on your vocals.  I know I have mentioned it before, but it is sooooo very important.  Just imagine this - You pay $75.00 for a ticket to see your favorite singer, and when the concert starts, his mic isn't working so great & you can hardly hear him over the music.  You'd probably leave right? That or rush the ticket booth to get your money back!  LOL

I actually like the vibrato in your voice, there are some people who really hate that, but I like it very much, it takes a lot of practice to be able to control vibrato.  Many people just quiver their vocal chords thinking that it makes a song sound better, but too much is overkill, and it sounds forced.  Yours was just fine.

I do like the song for you, you sounded very comfortable singing it.  That is so important!  Overall I think you are improving greatly, and soon you'll have enough confidence to sub a song in the showcase!

You'll be just fine!  :hi5:

Quote honestly there WAS something strange about last night.  As I said,  I noticed it around 9-10P when out gimping around.. full moon reflecting off've wet asphalt covered with leaves but the air itself was crystal clear but VERY dark..  Almost the calm before an ominous event...  But I didn't give it a second thought until you mentioned it some early early AM.. and the still and quiet permeated inside as well it was just silent and strange... As a result, once that idea was instilled in my mind, I started thinking about ghosts, and occult activity and that shaped the remainder of the night...

Lena,  you want to hear my cursing again.. I decided to take on a challenge WAY WAY over my head... LMAO  So obviously I didn't expect to be able to handle this one but my god, not only is it out've my range, he's ALL over the place...

Mr. Kaplan,

Hey I didn't even see your *Betcha By Golly Wow* I'm listening right now...

Your falsetto isn't bad, but before you tackle a song like this, get some more practice by singing other songs first.  This one is gonna take some work, but I'm sure you'll be able to pull it off in time.

I love this song by the way!  :swg:
