You know its funny how everyone can get off the subject..I asked about the logo not anything else. how childish to go on raving about anything or everything else. I know there are something I will be checking about the website overall...as far as special effects og ..bubble maching..snow & ect...I would rather go to a show where the KJ took the time to invest in the over all presentation of his show...not the just the same boring thing. .... come in and sing...BORING!!!!..As far as blasting me about grammer or ANYTHING ELSE...iI personally think its childish and you need to get a life..sorry but this has gone way to far on personal attacks...Ive sit back and let it be...no longer

There is nothing funnier than someone who complains about people correcting their GRAMMAR and they spell GRAMMAR incorrectly as grammer. GEMINI! If you care about appearances; try not to appear like an "uneducated-arrogant-self-absorbed" fool. (now that's a compound adjective, hyphens included)
After reading your most recent posts; I'm beginnning to think that you are the person that wrote the text on your website.

I don't know... I don't agree with the way he does things, but Gemini is right- he never asked. Same with the midi music. or even the spelling and grammer ( though IMHO a proofreader might help). He ONLY asked about the logo.
It's OK

If the fat ones ask us what do we think about their new svelte physique; then they deserve a critique on it. If the bald guy asks us about his new haircut, I'm sure he'd get an earful. You asked people to check out your web site and they gave you their opinions about ALL of it. Did you ask people just to give an opinion about the pretty little pictures?

I wrote -
I think the new logo is professional looking. It kind of reminds me of "American Idol". In the intro of their show they have the sihouette of a singer with a blue background and bursting effects behind the singer.
The title portion is a little distorted on my computer (Gemini Karaoke). The bleeding effect on the first "a" in karaoke is the worst. It looks like water damage. Everything besides the title looks crisp and clean. I think the effect is cool, don't get me wrong. Maybe just have them scale it back a bit. It makes it hard to read.
Gemini you were looking for comments on the logo. I haven't heard you respond to any of the suggestions. Were you looking for critique? or were you just wanting to show it off?
I have noticed nobody else commented on the title portion being distorted and hard to read. Is it just me?
I've actually read some good constructive critisim in this thread about the website. I thought some of it was very helpful. Was any of it helpful to you?

There was not ONE personal attack on you. Again with the bald and fat comments like you did before. Nobody commented on your appearance. I KNEW it was only going to be a matter of time before we had seen that Mr Sears was showing his true colors.
There were initially some HELPFUL comments on your site (That's why I pointed out about being open minded). Even attacks about your site, but not you personally.
I've even defended your right to run your show the way you want to DESPITE being polarly opposed to your views.
But yeah, you want to escalate personal comments, believe me, I'm MORE than willing to let loose the cannons.

The logo looked ok, however it does take VERY LONG TIME to load, try reducing it's file size. It's almost 1 megabyte at 909kb in it's current size. Which is why I didn't see it originally, I don't wait for graphics to load if they are taking their sweet time.
As far as your bad grammar & spelling, you've been stating for a few years that you've had that site that you'd be getting to all the spelling & grammar issues...like stated don't you want your site to look AND READ like it's professionally made & designed, that is why people were trying to help you with the rest of it. Obviously you haven't had a chance in the last couple years, but have time to buy a bunch of unncessary gimmicks & create overly large file logos.
As far as boring, that's what karaoke singers go to a karaoke show for is to sing. Not be dazzled by all the gimmicks. As a matter of fact it's the ones with the gimmicks that are struggling. I have YET to meet anyone that has stated, HEY LET'S GO TO {THIS GUYS} KARAOKE, THEY HAVE BUBBLES & SNOW! Sorry, I go to shows that have great sound & a host who knows how to run it & a fair rotation before anything else. Lights, bubbles, fog, snow...this one absolutely cracks me up, SNOW IN A BAR!!!!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!!! Almost as bad as bubbles, especially when the liability turns to the person bringing in the bubbles when someone slips on a wet floor because there are bubbles all over it.

personal appearance mean everything but spelling and grammer not obviously...you are sooooo right...your website says so very much about who YOU are. Your website is far worse than Blue jean and tshirt and it may be the first introduction to you and your business that many may have.
Grow up, take english lessons and learn to take criticism constructively

You don't see the IRONY in someone criticizing another person's grammar and they can't even spell grammar correctly????
There have been so many other spelling errors, that no one has commented on, in this thread.

This entire forum is hell for a proofreader! Just kidding. We all make mistakes but the fact is if you don't make every effort to correct it all in the most important of situations (like on your website), then for those who care about such things, it's a red flag as to your intelligence, believe it or not. I correct physicians all day long and have many opportunities to wonder how they have actually gotten through medical school. Same goes for lawyers. Have had many opportunities to make people in both those professions sound a lot smarter than they really are when they open their mouths.
Just makes sense to clean it up, Gemini, and I hope you do that. Karaoke takes a beating anyway - no sense in hanging bait to draw more of that.

Nothing wrong with blue jeans & T-Shirts if they are in nice condition either. You dress appropriate for your crowd, jeans & t-shirts IS dressed up for our crowd
If they were more of a dressier crowd I would be dressed up more as well. I used to dress up in a suit or slacks & nice button up, but it doesn't matter to the crowd as long as I do my job - they really do not care. I may dress up a little more for the weekends as the crowd is usually a little more dressed up!

Exactly, doing wrong spelling in a forum is quite a different situation when you are trying to type fast & sometimes miss or hit a wrong key, transpose a word or whatever, however, to have it on a supposedly professional website - EVEN AFTER people have pointed out the mistakes, you'd think one that WANTS to at least look professional in cyber-space would fix said mistakes the second they are pointed out. The fact that it isn't done, shows me a level of ones actual in life professionalism.
