You mean to call this singing? lol

You're kidding me right?
And people actually clapped! I'm sure glad I don't get it.

As for reverb/echo dry mic. I have tried it to some extent, on average I don't feel it is heplful, but that is more personal preference on my part. Not to say that I woud not run it if asked. I just don't like it personaly, and it is a matter of taste on my part. I accept others may view things differently. No-one gets echo or reverb when singing in their car or shower.

Doesn't help? Huh! Interesting assessment.
Car I agree with, shower there is a natural reverb in the shower/bathroom.

I think that illustrates my point very well.

You’ll notice on that page there’s no commenting allowed.

Maybe a key change would have “helped”?

Trust me. There's no help to be had for her. I just hope she has fun with it, because that's what it's all about! LMAO !

OMG!

I listened to the whole thing waiting to see if I could make out a word. LOL

I don't know what language that was - maybe only dogs can understand it.

The funny thing is people clapped and cheered after. No wonder she thinks she can sing. She has a false sense of self because she is famous people actually clap for her singing and she thinks it's good.

You are much tougher than I am. 20 seconds or so was about all I could stand.

Maybe that's why some come to karaoke shows, no reverb in car and they run out of hot water in the shower?

Seriously, what singer (not rap) doesn't use some type of effect? Does that make them less than a "man" (sorry ladies) or what? I don't get it. But, if it works for you,,,, ok.

Effects help me blend the music & the voice. With a dry mic, it seems like the voice is comming from one place, and the music from a different place. Like singing with the car radio. When I was a kid, I'd record with my guitar in the bathroom for the effects...... when I play the old reel to reel tapes for friends, you can even hear an occasional flush.......and some wierd sounds, that mimic a tuba.... don't remember what they could possibley be....... maybe somebody stepped on a duck or two?

It was reported by an unknown source that later on that day she was asked by a reporter "As an outsider, what do you think of the human race?"
The answer apparently sounded very similar to the link.

In the UK we never got the Yoko thing.
Is that why John left us?

Have you ever gotten one of those e-mails that look like a puzzle, or tell you to concentrate real hard on a specific object, and then, while you're starting to get into it, a horror figure appears on your screen and lets out a scream that makes you jump in your seat? Well, when Yoko hit her 1st note, I jumped higher in my seat than any of those e-mails ever made me.

Call me ignorant, please... But I will not sing at a place that can't:

1. key change
2. use vocal effects
and (if possible but not a deal breakers) 3. play your own CD.

Yeah, I know, I'm picky. But, I like to do as well as I can while singing in public. As opposed to the many, many others who just throw it out there.

There are all kinds of karaoke singers out there. This is why you MUST give them every opportunity to shine. This would include; key changes and effects, at a minimum.
