i prefer mp3+g so i don't have to use cpu overhead to convert while the show is running. I can zip it on the fly but a conversion might cause my laptop to hiccup.

i have a jvc 303 player attached to my system just for this reason....

i do not allow backup's(copies), all disc's must be originals before i will play it.

i won't play from a thumb drive, but if they have a chartbuster's sd card i will play it.

i don't not copy customers disc's.

i have way to much money invested in my 1300 original disc's to risk pirating other peoples disc's. i probably have the song in a different version anyways.

Curious as to whether the CB SD cards are locked to where they cannot be written to? If someone brought their own music on a CB SD card that isn't CB, would you stop it and tell them no?

Well, now my score is 1 to 1...

I just went to a show last week in Florida, where I brought my flash drive with me. The KJ was operating from a PC, and he indicated that he could not play discs. I then asked him if he could play my flash drive, and he said he wasn't sure. Since he still had about 15 minutes before show time, he came up to me and asked for my FD. He came back a few minutes later and said that he he could not access my files to play on his PC.

I ran into that situation earlier this year. The problem was that the KJ was using a MAC Laptop and running a software program called KJams. The KJ didn't know how to load new songs into KJams so she couldn't play the songs from my flash drive. I got around it by using a program that converts CDG to a video file. Went back to the same show a few weeks later and the files played perfectly on the MAC. I believe that they played with Quick Time.
