o.k., I am not much of a poster but I do enjoy reading up on what everyone is doing.  I'm a karaoke owner in the midwest.    Nice to meet everyone.  :D

Hi!  Good to meet you.  I'm also new.  You said you're a Karaoke owner...  Are you a karaoke host? What software do you recommend?

klyn, hi!   We have only been at this for 5 months.  We have a newer Cavs unit, board, two PR15 Peavey speakers, assorted lights, fog machines, power conditioner, external hardrive,etc.  We also run D.J. off our C.D.'s my husband downloaded into our laptop computer.  
My husband is the brains of the operation.  I  run the cavs unit, take singers names, put out books, etc.  He runs the show and is the only one knowledgeable  about  the techno stuff of the operation.   We were just doing this at home then our friends saw how much equipment we had and how much fun they were having while visiting us, so their friends started  bribing us to do shows for money at their weddings.  Then our local watering holes asked us to play, so now we're booked twice a week at 2 different bars, plus out of town bars call us on a regular basis, plus special events.  There seems to be no end to it...
