I was thinking of buying a pair of used Peavey SP-5 speakers (about 3 years old) to use in a beginning karaoke set-up for small party'sand lounges. Does anyone have any hesitation regarding these speakers? I have listened to them and they sound good, but will they work for karaoke. For the pair of them it would cost $350. I know there are better quality speakers, but for the money does this sound like a decent deal???

the sp-5 is a good speaker, and the price sounds about right. I know quite a few KJ's using them.

I run 3 in my main system on top 2 DJS1800 subs & they sound pretty decent.

Thanks for the reassurance. I am probably going to buy them.
