Of course we would let her in, heck dressed like that we would probably make her an honorary citizen of Texas! Oh and also, don't let the " Don't Mess with Texas " road signs throw you off, there meant to deter people from littering. I met some northerners that took that slogan the wrong way. Never been to your part of Canada but I did spend some time in Nanaimo, it was very beautiful country, but being from south Texas was a bit too cold for me. Lotsa Canadians here in Victoria ( Texas ). Beautiful daughter by the way! |

heeeeyyy now jd!!! That's my baby girl!! Ain't no man gonna be good enough for her! Unless he's a good ole southern farm boy who will treat her like the princess she is. Keith! Yes she does have two front teeth!! ![]() vb, Nanaimo is beautiful. It's here in the same province, but it's further south. I'm up in Northern BC. Only an hour or so boat ride from the southern tip of Alaska. Yeah it can get pretty cold here, but it's mild compared to most of Canada. I used to live in the prairies where it's BITTERLY cold. Gets to -35 there!! The cold actually STINGS your face and fingers in 5 mins if you're not covered up! Here in the mountains, though, it only gets to about -15 and even that is rare! |

Some of the stories I heard about the cold were scary, frozen lips and what not. One thing I remember is the dark sand beaches which were very different and yet very pretty, kinda sucks to live near the coast line and not hardly be able to get in the water. I wish I had got to see more of BC while I was there but it snowed and sleeted every day for the first week and believe me you don't want a Texan driving in that kind of weather! We freakin lose our minds if it gets to freezing around here, much less snow or ice on the ground. Actually about 3 years ago we had what they called the hundred year snow storm here in Victoria, snowed 12 inches in a 12 hour period the night before Christmas day. Was very surreal, not used to seeing our town covered in snow. Oh, by the way Diana Krall is originally from Nanaimo, some resemblance there in the avatar, later! |
