Post subject: | Mixer Signal Chain |
Here is my new question concerning signal chain. I just ordered an M-Audio NRV10 Mixer. If you have 2 CD+G players and a DVD player going to an AV switch and then out from the switch to the TV monitor what is the best way to input audio into the NRV10 mixer? I would like to monitor the input with headphones when recording as well live through my speakers when just singing. I guess what I am asking is would you be best served to put right and left outs from switch to there own channel on the mixer or just use a y-cable and bring audio to 1 channel? How would you guys do this? |

you need to use a stereo selector switch to select the direction you want the sound to go, computer to selector box then out to head phone amp. or to another amp most selector boxes have three to four directions you can send the signal. I dont know how your setting up your system routing, but also you need to use referance head phones when recording, because regular head phones inhance your sound, and your play-back wont sound the same. for got to mention if you try to record with a open mic and monitor thru live speakers two things will happen, you will eather get feed-back or un-wanted music tracks in your volcal tracks witch you cant get rid of. next, dont loop your audio tracks from computer to mixxer and back to computer, as this will also create a feed back loop. hope some of this will help.. |
