I'm thinking of getting the Vocopro SV-500 Karaoke Vocal Speakers, and the Vocopro SUB1500 to go with it. Has anyone used this set up? Do the SV-500 sound as good as they say? Can I power the Vocal speakers with the sub amp too? Any sugestions or insite would be great! |

You won't find anyone high on VocoPro here. General opinion is that they are overpriced and underquality. For $250, you aren't going to get much. The Sub will not power the speakers -- you will probably find they will try to sell you a "karaoke mixer amp". Personally, I would go with a Behringer PMH880S or PMP3000 and some Peavey PR-12 speakers. They will sound good, and will be much more useful than stuff you buy from VocoPro. |

All I can say is, stay away from VocoPro. That's what I started with (Amp, Mics, Speakers, Mixer) and still regret it to the day. |

Depends on the use & if you like bass or not. In pa sense most sound engineers will consider a 12" as a midrange & use a sub with it. But if it's a relatively small room, it should sound ok. What kind of budget are you looking for, there are some really decent systems out there. |

Well I was thinking around 600 Im currently using a Yamaha EMX512SC for my mixer and amp. I am looking for something more in the way of a vocal speaker. The set I use now is just a set of speakers that the bar had in the back room. Not so great. I think I have a great set up except for the speakers. |

Oh ya...I do like the bass if it isnt over powering. Also I ment to put $600 - $800 |

Just spotted the B52 MATRIX-1000V2 Three Piece Powered Speaker System. Great reviews...anyone using it? I just would need a nice mixer and I would be done! Could even use it for my dj gigs and get rid of my 50 pound amp! |

I don't use it, but others do and it is highly recommended here. Seems like a dream to transport compared to some of them, and the sound is supposed to be excellent. It is going to weigh a few pounds, though it does have wheels.

It's a nice speaker system - i've recommended it several times & those that have bought have been very happy with it, however it is powered which will basically make the amp that's built into your EMX512 mixer useless (unless you run floor monitors or continue to run the back speakers). However you CAN still use the mixer part of it so you wouldn't have to purchase a brand new one. You'd need to use the main outputs on the mixer - NOT the speaker outputs to connect the mixer to the powered speaker system. Here is one of the previous threads that I can remember about recommend. http://www.karaoke-forum.com/viewtopic. ... c&start=25 The 1000v2 is a smaller system as compared with it's 2000v2 big brother. So it's more at home in smaller to medium sized rooms no problem. |
