Welcome neon....

(cool nic by the way)

This place is a great source of info, lots of great people here too. Make sure you browse around, ask questions, give your input, and all that good stuff... it's the best way to start meeting everyone.

Also, check out the *singers showcase* link on the left, that's where people upload songs to share. Maybe you can sub songs also?

Nice to have you here.

I donated you 500 points, so you can put up an avatar if you like:)

You're welcome:)

5 more posts and you can put up an avatar. (it takes 10)

It is for sure a cool place to meet people and get lots of new ideas/suggestions on karaoke. ( i had never pc recorded until i came here, they taught me how, it was also people from here that helped me pick out my new karaoke system, cause I was clueless....)

Some people record on their pc... using a multi track program like Cool Edit Pro... there are some free programs out there for pc recording, though I can't recall the names of them.
Other people record themselves live and submit songs that way. Just needs to be an MP3, I think (don't quote me on this) that for a "free" membership, songs can be no larger than 3 MB.

I'm not the best at recording, though I know how... I am just not the world's greatest "mixer". But if you're interested in doing it, search the forums (to the left, in the black box is a search feature, though devil if I can figure out how to properly use it) Or, start a thread asking and I'm sure people will either give you info or direct you to some appropriate threads:)  Lots of people here more than willing to help you out with beginning recording.

(I mean... I would personally help you, I'm just not the smartest of the bunch when it comes to that... I fumble around until I get a passable recording)  :D

Hi Cord, I'm pretty new here too.  My dad introduced me to singing online because I was way too shy to sing in public (and hearing the voice you'd know why).  It's so much fun here anyways, and you get to meet lots of nice folk.  I too use Cool Edit to record with though my recordings are still very crude! Anyways, just wanted to say hi .. and welcome :) x
