I have recently purchased a laptop and have since bought and installed the PCDJ-KJ Program.  I was able to download the KJ Plugin fine.  When I tried to download the KJ Full install I was able to get by #1 fine #2 which is the WM Component, I get a pop up asking me if I want to continue. I pressed yes, clicked on the pop up to download to allow, I dont show any progress bar, so I have continued to #3.
I then registered my product as required.  When I go to open the PCDJ KRM Hoster, I get an error msg 0000000.    If I click to close I get another error message.
this time it reads,  Our records show an error occurred the last time PCDJ was executed.  This could be due to the error above.  Would you like PCDJ to attempt to fix this error automatically?  (You will asked to confirm this again once PCDJ has determined the fix)  I click yes,  I get another Pop-up.  It reads
Reset Default Record case and stored user setting?  If this doesnt fix the issue, reinstall direct X9,windows media 9 then pcdj.  I have done this twice. I still get the same error and the response from PCDJ support has been slow, ok no response yet.   Does anyone know where I might start fixing this?   Thanks Mike.  You can also email me at michaelmallery1@gmail.com

The best thing would be, to ask their support. Unfortunate decision @ PCDJ-KJ. I used it before and it gave me nothing but headaches.

Well I got the support I needed from PCDJKJ.com.  It was helpful and all I had to do was right click on icon and run as administator.  After that I was just totally dissapointed.  There is no stop button, finding a song by search (SUCKS) and if I ripp song as a BIN file lie I did with my power Karaoke program, it wont play it as it doesn't support BIN files unless I buy another program.  So I am stuck in the middle here. I can buy an additional program from PCDJ to play whats already ripped or buy an additonal program to play what I converted from power Karaoke.  Is there a program that will allow me to play BIN files as well as the common files, ripp new discs and possibly make books?  What is the most all inclusie program I can get to Ripp, Play, and make books?  Any help?

rip your .bin files to .wav+g (or convert further to mp3+g). I'm guessing you like the .bins because of it's still cd quality...

use mp3toolz to do that

I started with PCDJ too. I've had problems and their technical support stinks. At this point I can't recommend their products. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Try downloading winamp and the autokj plugin off the internet. It has play, pause, stop AND it has another plugin that controls key changing, tempo and speed. It's free right now, if you like it you can make a donation to support their development efforts.

Also, go to Tricerasoft and look around for the download page for their free Karaoke player. It doesn't have a tempo control, but it does have a key control and it's simple to operate, it looks good too. I don't know if it will play Bin files or if autokj will play Bin files either. Some people are having good luck with Karafun, I've had a problem with it. For an inexpensive player try Siglos from powerkaraoke.

I have and use PCDJ Red VRM with the KJ pluggin. Like almost all programs once you get it set up it works fine.   You're playing BIN files ?  - I can tell you I used audio grabber to rip all my cdgs to MP3+G then I zipped them all using mp3+g toolz and have no problem. - When I 1st started using the PCDJ product I did spend a lot of time on their boards were you will find many satisfied users and much support and assistance. Follow the instructions and suggestions and you will be fine.

I do the occasion DJ gig and do play some filler and dance music at my shows.
I do like the mixing capabilities of the PCDJ RED along with the Karaoke.

If you are looking for a KARAOKE hosting only program you should shop around and you may find one bettert suited to your needs.  I would have hoped you done that before BUYING the Pcdj product.

All in all I would reccomend it for anyone looking to host karaoke.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me and I would be happy to assist you

#1 - All there players have a stop button ?
#2 - Search feature is as good as anyones ?
