 Lonman,
Kudos on the very long lasting gig. That has to be a record. And sidewinder, my new "buddy", where is this imaginary venue, where you have all this imaginary equipment, with all your imaginary singers, free pepsi, etc, etc. Well guess what...I found out where it WAS. It was at MJ's place. NEVERLAND...sidewinder got canned for "spanking" MJ's "monkey". The "pet" monkey. Wait..was was his name...think there was a "B"..and a "D" maybe? Oh well... can't remember.

Oh..lonnie...once again, congrats on the awesome duration of that gig. You need to throw a HUGE party to celebrate.  :handshake:    :worship:

Oh ..sidewinder....better hurry..heard their foreclosing on NEVERLAND...you know....MJ's answer to FANTASY ISLAND...where your venue is....you phony  .

.wave: EElvis,
Ya...you know...Michael Jackson's "Neverland Ranch" where he "entertained" all his  "friends". It's up for sale for 24mil....or foreclosure. Whichever comes first.

"Ah one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready now go go go, now don't you, step on sidewinders shoes! You can do anything, but don't you step on sidewinders shoes"!! :dancin:

Sorry...got carried away with the Elvis thing....I bad :hi5:

It may be imaginary, but free Pepsi is pretty common in bars where we are.

I wish I got free softdrinks,  I often paid more for tonic water, DC, ginger ale, and coffee than most paid for alcohol, and I still felt like a fish out've water, assuming I was given freebies, I tipped a lot to try to compensate for the fact that I'm staying sober.. I just didn't feel I belonged as a non-drinking non-employee LOL  A few places respected the fact that I do not drink because I can't drink, such places would often give me freebies, however that just caused me to feel compelled to tip even more, and the truth is, when I quit drinking my bar tab increased.

Congrats Sidewinder,  I think you've got me beat by about 13 years, unless we are talking day jobs in which case it's 13 1/2 LOL

(I got freebies when I was a designated driver but during such events I felt like a babysitter and could never enjoy myself)

It was big around here for a little while and i think it started to be abused, like everything else.    I don't even hear about it anymore.

Yeah,  Usually little is "free", but if the bar backs (or tenders, owner etc) get to know a person and like them usually seems free soft stuff is offered or mixed in, but I never expect it.  Of course seldom is orange juice or "virgin" drinks offered free, in fact I've had a better success rate with free O'douls, and Moussy than I have with alot of soft stuff;  In my case it's usually coffee, and club-soda that might be given free...  It's sometimes this way for drinkers too of course with Draught beer, or just about any "shot" a bartender is in the mood for downing towards the end of a night  assuming they don't wish to do the shot alone in front of a bar, they become more generous  LOL In such a case A few friends get shots on the house. Some folks not liking to drink alone seems to be a tradition as old as the hills, I drank everywhere, in front of folks, alone in the closet, for breakfast you name it, I was quite versatile in my day :oh yeah: .. Usually at the end of the night the establishments tend to be more generous with the rancid stagnant coffee they are about to dump out too of course.. I always got the gut-rot acidy stuff they didn't want to ruin the sink plumbing with  LOL..

Yeah, Diet cokes I get free too Mcky but not often for some reason. Usually coffee and club soda were about it in terms of free offerings..
