I'm sure others, just like me, had visited a web site named "karaokeplayground" in the past for the vast amount of information on computerised karaoke that was available there.
Then the site disappeared, and was missed by many.
They were a wonderful place for newbies to get a start or for others to "try and remember something"

Well the site had been archived and is available here.

OMG i need help. Is there anyone out there that doesn't care to help a newbee? I can't get my head around it. I have questions that a seasoned karaoke could help me with.

I am looking for a "live" service that i can pay a membership to and get the most recent music available. Preferred unlimited downloads. Does anyone know of such a service they would recommend. My familiy does this as a hobbie.

Not at this time. There are no legal sites for unlimited downloads, and you will not receive any help here for that. For newest releases, you can purchase from Pop Hits Monthly on an mp3g formatted disc, this is around $40 per month with the newest releases.
There are sites you can purchase downloads like selectatrack.com karaoke-version.com tricerasoft.com
Digitrax is a service that will be available within the next month (from what I hear the beginning of next month) that you can subscribe to and get an entire library access of around 60,000 songs, but you do not actually keep the songs, they are only useable with the subscription, but like said they are not up and running at this time.
