If AK means Alaska, or even if it doesn't, welcome!

I think I did karaoke about as far north as you can. Two summers ago we traveled to Inuvik, NWT, and I did karaoke at what they claimed was the northernmost bar in North America.

I look forward to my next trip north. People love the entertainment up there, it seems, but there is a shortage of singers. So it works well for a ham like me... 8-)

Yeppers, it do indeed stand for Alaska.  I'm in the souther panhandle and not very north though.  I've been as far north as Fairbanks though.  In my town there are two what I would consider KJs and not many singer so you nailed that! :)  I'm not a reg or going to be on idol any time soon, but I likes to have fun :)

I'm coming to Juneau, Ketchikan, and SItka on a cruise ship in May, but unless you have karaoke for the cruise visitors I doubt I will see you at a gig!

May eh? well, it's still in the mid to upper 50's, if your lucky it could break into the 60's... There are boats that stay till 11 pm here in Juneau during the season and the local bars are close to the docks so if you are in port and wandering through town just keep your expectations ummm well... low? when looking for a good KJ and crowd LOL
If the weather works out for you get ready for an amazing trip!  Oh and thanks for the welcome!

I spent 4 weeks in Canada doing karaoke, I know about it. But when I get to do the Mickey show, it was kind of neat. I had at least five nights in Canada where I was the only singer, and I went through most of the songs I knew at that time. The audience was great, too, and gave me lots of encouragement every time.

We will see. I have been to the Kenai, and to Denali and Fairbanks and the Top-of-the-World highway. I know that when I thought of Alaska, I didn't really think of mountains. But that was ridiculous, because you basically see a mountain as you enter the state and you are among them the entire time. The views are breathtaking.

My favorite, by far, was Homer. There is something about a near-360 degrees of mountains that is awesome.....

I am leaving Seattle on May 24th, and we look to be arriving in Juneau on Tuesday the 27th. Unfortunately there is no night involved -- we are there from 7am - 8pm, so unless there is the "lighting strike" of Tuesday daytime karaoke, we are out of luck.

Well then you still have a couple of weeks that’s good as it should be better weather by then.  I know you said you been before and you know what to expect but a sunny day makes it easier for a sunny tude :)  Any idea what your doing while in Juneau?  Do you have tours lined up?  Ya just going to wing it and wander though town? Let me know if I can do anything for ya
