I am stuck on getting either the audio 2000s akm 7015 and the vocopro da-1055 pro. The system is for home use and the prices are about the same. Which mixer do you guys suggest i purchase and why? |

Would recommend the Audio 2000 I have used it in few home installations It has decent mic preamps and fairly good mic FX. BTW the ones I did buy was from Ace Karaoke. They are a good supplier. Not familiar with the other one.. |

None of the above. You obviously don'n need the key-changer feature or the eq, because the VocoPro doesn't have the former and the Audio 2000 the latter. I own the Audio-2000 and also a VocoPro. Neither are in use -- if you live near Cincy I would give you the VocoPro as it will never be used again. Each of them has lousy effects, features that are not separate for each channel, can't use a monitor, can't use an external effects processor, can't do much of anything. Get a Behringer 1202FX for less money. It has much better mic preamps and effects, and enough features to do a real show. |

I own the AKJ7000 unit, and I love it. BUT I helped a buddy that had the AKJ7015, the skinny and far less powerful mixer... he hated it! So did I! I wouldn't go for the Vocopro either. |

It will be used by kids and all types which would screw up a complicated system. I know I have rented systems out. When they want pro then they come to our venues.. SSSSh!!!! |

We know it's for HOME use Ollie, and I'm telling you that the unit I tried, the 7015, is a HORRID piece of equipment. Will it WORK? SURE. I didn't like the way I had to eq the danged thing, and it gave my bud a fit trying to get it to work. I wouldn't buy any vocopro mixer or player... REGARDLESS of if it's home or not. |

It is a question of how interested you are in karaoke. If you really like the stuff, like me, it is a waste to do the home equipment because you will just end up throwing it away. I would give my KJ-3000 away if I could find someone to pick it up. I am too lazy to ship it. |

I was just trying to hint. The last home system I put together (BTW this laptop I am typing on was payment) was with another laptop and I forget the model model but an Audio 2000 mixer and JBL EON 10 G2 speakers. When I build a good system the next thing you know they are doing gigs down the street. Which is fine except when they say OH this will just be for home. Even on this forum I tend to keep trade secrets but locally I get paid very well. The tech advise given on this forum is priceless. My system is useless in a small environment. The FX or anything else is not right. In fact you have to turn the FX off or way down. It is an entire different ball game with short reverbs. |
