Hi and thank you in advance for your help.
I did a search on the archive and spent half an hour reading through previous threads and am still somewhat confused about how to hook these up to my karaoke system (A&H PA12 board + QSC amp)

Here's is how I am thinking about hooking these up.

1.  Mic to dbx input ... dbx output to mixer input   OR   mic to mixer input then connect dbx to INSERT right below the Mic input on the mixer?  Which is correct?
2.  Mixer output to Sonic Max  ... Sonic Max out to amp.

On a side note, I notice BBE has a compressor with built in Sonic Maximizer (BBE COM) If I use this then I assume I am replacing both of the above 2 equipments, but I have to hook this up between Mic and mixer.  So the Sonic Maximizer function only works on the vocals and not the music input from the karaoke disks.  Does this defeat or reduce the effects of the Sonic Max function?  Is this the way to go to reduce the number of pieces of equipment?

Thanks again.

The Dbx 266xl should be hooked up in the insert mode on mic 1 & 2. The Sonic maximizer can be hooked up between mixer and amp. However the input level is important I personally like to run it at -6 to -3 DB.

Mic to mixer if you have no Tube pre-amp, dbx via the inserts and the BBE should be at the end just before the amp. This BBE thing, is it really necessary? The DBX should do the work, no need for this in my opinion, but I might be wrong!
