I just purchased a Leadsinger II karaoke all-in-one mic.  I tried to download songs from Download Karaoke.com.  It provided me with a zip file containing an mp3 and a cdg file.  I extracted the files, but only the mp3 plays...no lyrics.  Perhaps I need to convert the cdg file to a differ type of file...but I don't know how to do that.  Does anyone have any information that can be easily understood for a beginner?

Although this isn't my forte', the Leadsinger mic uses it's own software to do the graphics.

Check out http://www.es2entertainment.com/t-lyrics.aspx for more details. I saw on there that instead of a .cdg file, it uses another format.

Looks like you need to use their "minilyrics" file, which is executable from http://www.leadsinger.com/product.php?p ... =14&page=1

Quote:
4. When the song has finished and you are satisfied with the results, save the lyric file by:
right clicking the background of MiniLyrics,
selecting Lyrics -> Save Lyrics As from the context menu.
5. When saving lyric file for the MVK series microphone, the name of the file MUST be identical to that of the MP3 file. For example if the song is abc.mp3 then the lyric file must to be named abc.lrc otherwise, it will not work.

You can also use Power CD+G to Video Karaoke Converter to convert CD+G to AVI that will play on Leadsinger II microphone.
