[font=Verdana]I still have to get a case to house my mixer and player, getting a little shy on funds but found this one for a reasonable price.
Specs: 19 inch rack mount: 8 spaces Top, 4 spaces Bottom
Sturdy plywood construction
Convenient, easy to carry handles
Rugged & “roadworthy”
Detachable cover/lid (durable nylon with polyethylene center)
Dimensions(LxWxH): 20” x 20” x 17”
Weight: 18 lbs.
Case comes with a protective, detachable cover/lid, made from durable nylon with a polyethylene center.

The lighter weight is a plus for me, as my mixer and player together weigh about 32lbs.  Maybe if I ate lots, and lots of [schild=5 fontcolor=000000 shadowcolor=238E68 shieldshadow=1]Spinach[/schild]

Does anyone have experience with the durability of American DJ rack cases?

I've used the SKB racks in  the past due to their light weight

What is reasonable price?  Do you have a model or pic of the case in question?

If I can figure out how to do it, I'll get a pic of my rig tonight and post it tomorrow - similar to what you're looking at - got it at one of the DJ websites for not much at all.

I can't see where any lids would attatch to that particular model.  It looks more like a stationary unit except it has handles.  If it has lids, then it should do just fine, otherwise it's not going to do much protecting on the road.
