Karaoke Forums

Hello, I am new to forums, however I am hoping to learn more about karaoke hosting. I am looking to go digital with my present sound system. I am an amateur who has been interested in karaoke for 10+ years. We have a system set up in our garage, We have neighbors and friends that we enjoy having over for "choir practice" and a few cocktails. I also host karaoke at a bar in northern WI. 1-2 times a month. We use  high end equipment for our sound system, however, I am looking to go digital , so I don't have to handle our cdg 's. I recently purchased a laptop and am looking to obtain the ''right'' software  to use for hosting karaoke. I purchased a program from MTU  to load cdg's on a portable hard drive but have not yet started the task  of loading the discs into the computer.   I am lookiing for the right way to start, so I only have to do it once. This forum looks like a good place to start!

jj, I am looking for the same thing. I'll let you know what I find. I've discovered several software packages, but still researching them. Welcome!!
