Hello all, I went and purchased a bunch of disks, and put them on my HD. My drive at the moment is only a 74 gig raptor drive, so I zipped the files to help save space. Does anyone know of a winamp type program that will play zips? Currently I was using winamp only. Also, this is for home use only in case that matters. Thanks a ton! |

Hi, Siglos from Power Karaoke plays zipped mp3's. I like it much better than winamp! When you say, "winamp type" do you mean FREE? Kind Regards, sw00000p |

yes i am looking for a free player that works with winamp? i am using debs karaoke right now, and it dies after 10 minutes, but i dont need all the fancy stuff it comes with. Her zip player is complicated to add files too... |

Probably over kill but autokdj comes to mind. It's a full hoster program but it will allow you to play your zips. You'll have to import them into the media library though. |

Zip player is complicated to add files to? Maybe you don't realize that all you have to do is drag and drop the zip files into the Karaoke Tracks window to add files. The free winamp-based player I use is Sax N Dotty Zip Player but it's not available on his web site anymore. Maybe you can find it on the internet. The other thing you might want to try is download the KJ File Manager from http://www.latshawsystems.com/Products.aspx I believe the trial version still lets you look at 100 files at a time and it has a KJ mode player using winamp.
