Anyone have any expierence with this microphone? Appears to be an SM58 clone. I bought one for my brothers show but haven't been out to hear it yet. My bro said he liked it and that it appeared to be a bit hotter than the Behringer XM8500 Microphone we had been using. He also said that the handling noise was way better also. It was fairly priced and solidly built. The sound store owner told me I could bring it back if I didn't like it. He claimed it was comparable to an SM58 and about 3db hotter. I'll give it a try tomorrow night and see what I think, if not I will pick up an SM58. The OSP was about a third of the price of the SM58. Thanks, Rudy. |

There's a 50-50 chance it IS an SM-58. Shure private labels for a few different outfits- even Radio Shack. Thes items usually sell for much less than under the Shure label. The dealer's "hotter" comment may just have been something to say... |
