DISH, TX The city took the name Dish after Dish network told them they would provide free Dish Network to them for free if they changed the name. |

[font=Verdana]Climax, Colorado[/font] Used to be a town near Leadville, now it's just the name of the mine there and that might be closed down now. I used to work in a bar south of Leadville, called Ball Town, and had a T shirt that said, "Ball Town is just 30 minutes from Climax"

We have a *Boring, Oregon* not too far from us. We don't have many stupid names... We do have a *Wankers Corner*, which sounds dorky as hell. About the dumbest city name I ever lived by was when I lived in CA, there was a town near me called *Rough and Ready*. |

We have so many cities in Texas. Here are few more that I know of that are weird. Gun Barrell City Happy (Do you think there are people with other emotions that live in this city?) Earth Ding Dong ( too many funny things to say about this place) Cut and Shoot Study Butte No trees (I wonder if they have planted any trees? Do you think they have Arbor Day?) Needmore ( What do they need more of?) Jot em' Down (I would go here just to write notes to people) And last but not least Looneyville |
